Non Reving Priority on USAirways

Hey, that picture reminds me a lot of all the non-rev's trying to get out of Phoenix this past weekend. Luckily I was only stuck for 6 hours. Some people were there for over 24.
Has anyone experienced the "no board list"? When your name matches a similar name on the "watch" list, the HP computer system will not let you checkin on the web or at a kiosk. You must check in at the airport, and you can only checkin 4 hours in advance.
So, that means all those people who checked in 12 hours ahead, are ahead of you on the sb list if they have the same priority.
PLEASE SEND YOUR COMMENTS IN THAT SENIORITY IS BETTER. IF YOUR NAME IS ON THE NOB LIST, IT IS DIFFICULT TO BE REMOVED.
I sent the TSA identification papers 6 weeks ago and have not heard anything yet. THere is no guarantee they will take an action that removes your name from a list either. or that you will end up on it again.

the USAirways EAST system automatically exempts all US and affiliate employees, as its part of our security plan -- all employees of US flag carriers may be exempted from the nasty SSSS!

I've used both East and West systems. Didn't affect my boarding at all. Just curious...how is senority better other than that's your preference and senior people deserve it? Better for senior people yes, but a better system? I think the sandcastle is delaying a decision so people can see it's not going to make much difference either way, although principle is involved in both DOH and Check-In arguments. Clearly today this is still a very emotional issue.

Not so! Every time I fly US on ID 95 I'm SSSS. OA employees also experienced this. US has it set up so that OA employees are SSSS.

If it is a problem then send it in to the company and perhaps they can incorporate the exempt part that was talked about above.
As for the comment about a better system it is really a personal thing. For me seniority is better as the places I non-rev a 12 hour check in is not possible on the computer.

Same here. If I am going to or from Hawaii or Asia, twelve hours is not enough. FCFS is not fair to all because of the lack of access for some, and the possibility of abuse. DOH is what it is and is non-variable.

Kinda curious why isn't check in possible some places like Hawaii or Asia?

If my flight takes longer than twelve hours, I can't check-in for my connecting flight, unless I cheat and call a friend long distance.
Internet access is not as readily available and usually not free.
Many people do not even own computers.
What if the computer is not working?
Run to the library? Not in Asia.
