Obama Bows to Muslim King !

These are two contradictory statements dell. You say we are at war with Islam, the only way to interpret that is Islam as a whole. However then you state that most educated Muslims have not bought into the argument that we are at war with Islam. So are we at war with them or not? Then you state we are at war with illiterate Islam. Who are we exactly at war with, Islam as a whole or illiterate Islam? If it’s Islam as a whole you should give GWB a call and tell him he had it all wrong the times he said we were not.

Wholey illiterate Islam............

OTOH...............many getting caught here and abroad are professional educated Islamic followers.......so if the shoe fits.....

Well then I guess you should call GWB and tell him he had it wrong when he was in office.

With what manpower? The US military is overstretched as it is just in Iraq and Afghanistan. Here is a simple fact that you seem to be unaware of. We do not have a military large enough to do what you think we can. Where do you intend to get the manpower that would be needed? Start a massive draft and recruitment drive? If so are you going to volunteer?

How do you intend to keep those forces supplied? Do you think the Egyptians would let us use the Suez Canal? Or how about our facilities in Bahrain, Qatar or Kuwait? It would appear these sort of questions never occurred to you.

"If so are you going to volunteer?" Per the Sandbox? = Been there/Done that in Desert Storm..would cheerfully do so again, but am a bit antique and nowadays outta' "the business"..unless somebody gets up a "Geezer Wing" 😉 In '91, our people went through the then world's 4th largest military like they were the hopelessly ill-trained, poorly disciplined, and utterly incapable of viable teamwork "idiots" they truly were, at least on the battlefield and in the skies. Our entire force contingent came in at approx 500,000...most of which were purely support and logistics. The offensive was both against all prescribed strategic protocol numerically, and briefings indicated an expectation of very nasty losses on our side. We also had a completely arrogant jackass in then oval orrofice, who eliminated even the chance of surprise by announcing the intended beginning of hostilities. Even with all this? = The most entirely one-sided tactical victory in the history of human warfare was gained, with, very thankfully, unbelievably low losses for US forces. You completely underestimate US capability. As for any reflection on my beliefs? = Marine stepson's been two tours thus far. Next BS?

"We do not have a military large enough to do what you think we can." To serve as "police" = True. To obliterate any/all arab states' armed forces? = totally False. That'd be easy to adjust in any case..dependent upon national Will, which is currently lacking.

"Do you think the Egyptians would let us use the Suez Canal?" Yep. Recall how well it worked out for them to try otherwise in '56, or again in '73 against just Israel. As for "Or how about our facilities in Bahrain, Qatar or Kuwait?" Please..don't make me laugh...If we're discussing any actually serious military effort here. They'd roll out red carpets if the alternative wasn't "pretty".

Maybe some time when your not splitting hairs............you can ask the people whose relatives jumped to their deaths or were immolated in the WTC 9/11 or those who lost loved ones on the USS Cole or those whose sons and daughters were killed in the Khobar Towers or the many other attacks on innocent persons if we are at war with Islam...........

Earth to Delldude:

Al-Qaeda is not Islam, and does not represent Muslims.

Look carefully, its a doctored photo. Check out the mustache is slightly overlapping Bush's nose ever so slightly.

I know that, but it is way more funny to say "second base". My sense of humor is a little different I guess.

Earth to Delldude:

Al-Qaeda is not Islam, and does not represent Muslims.

 Err...thats not true at all.

Al-Qaeda's objectives include the end of foreign influence in Muslim countries and the creation of a new Islamic caliphate. Al-Qaeda evolved from the Maktab al-Khidamat, a Muslim organization founded in 1980 to raise and channel funds and recruit foreign mujahadeen for the war against the Soviets in Afghanistan. It was founded by Abdullah Yusuf Azzam, a Palestinian Islamic scholar and member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Being "Muslim" is that you are adherent to the religion of "Islam".

Well..Heck; I thought it was funny too. Of course I'll agree though, I had a big crush on Annette way-back-when 😉
