OCT/NOV 2012 US Pilots Labor Discussion

The only other US Airways, America West union that went to arbitration for a seniority list other than the pilots. It went date of hire. No conditions and restrictions, the same as every other employee union and non union group. ALPA had a mission for the pilots results, a merger with United.

Mr. Bloch's judgement

“How are the respective seniority lists of the flight dispatchers of U.S. Airways Inc. and America West Airlines, Inc. to be ‘combined’ or ‘merged’ in a manner that is ‘fair and equitable?’”

Age Discrimination & Harassment

It is unlawful to harass a person because of his or her age.
Harassment can include, for example, offensive remarks about a person's age. Although the law doesn't prohibit simple teasing, offhand comments, or isolated incidents that aren't very serious, harassment is illegal when it is so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile or offensive work environment or when it results in an adverse employment decision (such as the victim being fired or demoted).
The harasser can be the victim's supervisor, a supervisor in another area, a co-worker, or someone who is not an employee of the employer, such as a client or customer.

So use it for your next bid already!

Oh, don't worry Skip we will. Sooner, rather than later.

Hey, why don't you kids hurry up now and put that DOH list for Dug to put in the contract or with APA if we merge. We're just waiting on you, what's the hold up??

According to USAPA supreme counsel, "WE WON!!". Since it's CLEARY, oops...CLEARLY a win you should have had a contract in late October. Bradford promised one in 90 days! It's been OVER 1680 days! How much longer must we wait??? Get 'er dun!!!!

It may take years, but we will finish this.

You better call Fergie. The guys he told to pass on the recalls are going to sue him and Leonidas. AA is recalling a bunch of pilots, pilots going on top of the furloughed West guys Fergie told to stay off the property. Nice move. Did Marty Harper advise this as a strategy? Parker himself said their would be no recalls and no West hiring. Are you guys going to rethink your scorched earth furloughed ideas now that it has come home to roost?

While your statement from Parker is essentiallially correct, the rest of you drivel is completely FALSE. Thus crowning you the red-headed step-child of LIES.

It is obvious that the former America West Airlines HR department did not school Mr. Parker and Mr. Kirby and associates on the importance of age discrimination EEOC compliance.

This message board has posters that are educated on the proper response to the legal responsibility of tolerating harassment, but chose to remain silent.

Tsk, tsk.

"Sooner, rather than later." "It may take years, but we will finish this." What happens when your entity is sold to lets say, REPUBLIC, MESA? Your so called list is as useless as any other non-operationally, non joint CBA list with anyone, especially starting now! Solves alot of litigation and synergy problems of the "REAL ASSETS" moving forward!

If the AMR thing ever happens, over 2700 pilots will retire age 65 in the next 6 years in the combined airline. Lots of upward movement coming.Lots of jobs being offered NOW here on the East, and you are welcome to interview (or take your recall, whatever.) I have flown with two very nice guys recalled from the West, and we were politely in disagreement about how things should go down via Nic. But great trips, and the overriding theme is they are VERY glad to be East. With no growth, little attrition, no fly lists, and all the piss and vinegar in PHX, life was good here. Plus (as is probably the case both East and West) they were left to fly with all the guys nobody else wants to fly with. I age, I retire, a job is created. That is the best I can do right now. Come on over, the sooner the better for your career!Greeter

I did too. In fact, I told them that they can "believe" what they want, but the reality is they are flying junior to pilots that on ANY list would be junior to them. So if the company doesn't care about THE VALUE of seniority, they just don't want to pay for it....who DOES care about it? As proposed here on the forum by cleardirect, what do YOU expect the East pilots to do about this "injustice" when you continue to accuse East of illegal job actions and trying to cost the company money?

Ask the guys who came East if we're doing that. You'll get an opposite answer.

So I ask the question correct question: What is the value of a pilot and how do you measure it"? Distance the pilot is to the front of the line or what each pilot has in his "experience" pocket? No wonder the profession is going downhill.

SERIOUSLY????

What little bit of dignity these clowns had is GONE. Obviously too much free time on their hands.

Driver...
Actually, this particular video proves my point. When the freshly minted ATP pilots hired here can make it to the airplane before you by running faster they must be better and they should be the Pilot in Command. They put Captain Stripes and hat on that child who obviously describes them to a "T". Eric Auxler and Tony Anger could not have proved the point better. Why they wanted first come first serve at the non-rev podium is proof positive of West theory of Obamaism: you didn't earn that!

Tell the leaders you want a seniority solution first rather than a contract solution. When I mean a seniority solution I DON'T mean the nic award. I mean that the leaders should be solving seniority FIRST in the courts, whether DOH or the NIC and then the contract. That's what the company wants, that's what AOL wants (an answer either way) that is what USAPA SHOULD WANT AS WE'LL! USAPA leadership is a failure and IN PARTICULAR STEVE BRADFORD. He disappoints me the most. Look at the MOU they brought back for review or the letter of agreement.

SENIORITY VALUE should always be calculated first, not last. Cart before the horse.

Interesting that US Airways is almost lowest paid, lowest job satisfaction yet has the least stress.

We're still getting the job done, unlike Hostess Twinkees.
