did not have to sue ALPA, if you recall the east MEC did that for us, and then a bunch of scabs voted ALPA off the property forever locking the Nic as the only accepted system seniority list at LCC.

I got an idea, why don't some of you east scabs sue usapa over not being able to produce either a seniority list or a contract. Maybe the West will buck up a little on that one!

The mighty ALPA was impotent. Check your history books, The ALPA president in "power" Airlines gets the contract that keeps them well fed and apathetic towards the other pilots problems. When Prater was in power at ALPA, CAL had a contract, Delta pilots had the President of ALPA, contract. If management needs you for a merger, contract talks resume. That is the only reason West was given a bone.

This is fun to watch... Really. I think the concept of "seniority is like crew meals" is being put to rest by the desperate easties as we approach five years with USAPA. Seems like they are figuring out that they really don't have anything figured out after all.

All this reminiscing about the Nic is perhaps therapeutic while the East bid is being finalized for award.

The East Bid award is yet one more definitive example that shows us what the power of the 9th affirmed regarding the Nic's impotence. And as some posters have already mentioned, Parker seems to tell us to expect that all the bid awards next year will serve to keep hammering the same point home.

Actually your comment "Enjoy your banruptcy contract", is funnier than you think, After this bid closes it is actually a "NEW DAWN" for us post 9/11, legacy pilots, enduring XX% paycuts modified twice by a left seat loss to a rt seat gain at a multiplier percentage cut, only to be multiplied more by a job loss(the ultimate sacrifice) without the benefit of LPP protection, brings us to today! It will only get better for the EAST as time goes on, new duty rigs etc! We have figured it out, DUI will close PHX if able( IN THE NEXT JCBA LANGUAGE) ! Or FOCUS city it, there are "NO PAYRATES" he will offer to compensate for the rapeing the EAST pilots will take under the NIC, and "NO" government body will dictate negotiation terms to a labor union! So there is your answer, ALPA tried to unsuccesfully broker a solution, It is what it is , EOALPA already made a great point about the "WORLD ECONOMY" ! Very simple I will enjoy LOA 93, a great payraise this year better SCOTCH and WINE and to the rest, HAPPY HOLIDAY'S!
