Sorry if this is a redundant post or if this is old news, but 2 ticketing agents in PHL told me today that about 125 people were laid off today in PHL. Was this expected? How many are going to be able to go to MidAtlantic for a paycut? The numbers at PHL seem low (from a customer's perspective), how are they going to handle the increased flights in light of PIT's reductions?

80 Full time Customer Service (Inside) agents are going to be let go. Their options were FT CAR/FT MDA/PT CSA/PT CAR/PT MDA or trying to transfer or take a furlough depending on seniority. The actual layoffs arent until Sept something, but the packets were due back today telling the company what they wanted to do.
The outside agents also got notices of layoffs, but I dont have the numbers.
