I'm not saying she didn't have a "special" way of getting her point across....I'm just saying that JM's reply to her was just as rude or perhaps even ruder than what she may have sent to you....PM me and I'll send it to you....or anyone else that didn't see it here before the moderator pulled it. It's making it's was through all the F/As e-mails...it was sent to me by 3 different people from 3 different bases.

That email was beyond unacceptable. Simply shameful on the part of our LECP and from an AFA email address. But officers have been allowed to attack people personally from them before. What a true shame. The horse showed his true colors and has no grace under fire. I myself can remember some heated exchanges with Teddy but never ever would I have responsed in such a tacky display. It was passion that I admire about her. I might not care for her view point on an issue but that does not reflect on her as a person. It showed no couth, tact, class manners or decorum. My mother would have washed my mouth out with soap on the spot. If I were the rest of the AFA 70 officers I would not want my name attached anywhere on it but they are a "team". That email has been around the block more times than the Good Humor man!

This whole thing reeks of LA all over again. Where is the professionalism from the LECP? He is a smart man; he must have known that e-mail was going to make the rounds? Wow...

We need to have a strong person running against the current LECP. It needs to be organized and involved. The last election, there were too many good people chasing after the same position, thus diluting the votes. Many of them were quality people, but they just worked against each other vote wise. Canceled each other out if you will. If they had just talked to each other, and forumlated a strong in-office team, it would have been a lot easier to beat the incumbent, who won with what, ~300 votes? Please....

I want a strong candidate who will work for the ENTIRE membership, and not fly ETB's on top of 108FPL. That is pure nonsense however you want to slice it. NEWSFLASH***: If you need a 150 hour paycheck to live and cannot devote ALL of your time to the office, then do not run. It's simple. Union work is an ultimate sacrifice, an often thankless job, like it or not. One doesn't need to be gally-vanting through a beer garden in Munich and dining on frites and waffles in Brussels throughout the month of December, the month when most of the staffing problems hit. Enough. 9 ETB's in 11 months, and yet you receive 108FPL because you are sooooo busy due to the size of your base? Laughable. Where are you finding the time to fly these 9 trips in 11 months, what with being so busy and all? I'd be interested to see how many of those 9 trips are intl, as opposed to 737 four days... If you're flying to be visible to the membership, you are a lot more visible in and out of PHL for four days than you are in a beer garden in MUC, trust me..... (Next bull$h!t excuse??) We went through something similar with LA, and it appears we have to stop it again. Start passing the word....

Do we really need all of the rancor & Venom being spewed? How does it gain a new contract?

This has nothing to do with a new contract. JM has nothing to do with obtaining a contract. It has to do with an LECP who is capitalizing on his position, and this information needs to be shared with as many flight attendants as possible.

We are an 80% commuter base and are all over the place so that makes it even harder. Trust me the company is up to it's eyeballs in this mess back to LA and they know everything that took place because they played a HUGE part. Well, that will come to a screeching halt oh so soon! This membership is going on LOCKDOWN with the next administration! Sorry managment mooks...you got your lookie lous! Enjoy it while it lasts.

However it IS about the integrity of the person who was voted into office by the membership and how he is conducting himself. Collecting 108 Flight Pay Loss PLUS 50 hours of ETB is not what he was voted into office to do. Sending nasty messages to former members who contact him from his AFA address is not what he was voted in for either.
So he flew 11 ETB trips in the last year BUT three of them were international over the most crucial holiday period and he did one leg out of the country and one leg back.
A leader with integrity should be in the office M-F and if he did ETB it would be a 14 leg dog a$$ four day every other month or so ----so he could see and be seen by as many members as possible.

My view is John holds a majority of the cards with our contract. He holds the post power on the MEC second to CLT. I don't think his office can be understated in the amount or power he sits on as he guides the MEC.

Agreed.  This is a matter of integrity.  Union work involves passion and sacrifice, not a desire to be "off the line" until Alice Allegheny sends you her MUC trips every month.  Suddenly you find time in your busy LECP schedule to fly, all while receiving special treatment from management (!) to receive FPL you should contractually *not* be receiving.  If I have kids and am a single mother and thus very busy, should I call CS and ask to be on the 105 as well?  You know what the job entails, and you know the size of the base.  There are/ were no secrets.  This is utterly unbelievable.  It is unethical.  Illegal or not, it is unethical.  First, LA could not grasp this idea.  Now, JM.I remind you of the years and years of scathing, venomous newsletters that the LECP sent out saying that the entire foundation of AFA was flawed, and should be no more.  (Until he needed the AFA to come to his defense....hmmm..)If you think he didn't run for office to make a joke of all of us, you are out to lunch.

Here's the real issue. If the company has decided to circumvent the contract provision and give this guy "deployed f/a" status, then there is NO deployed f/a for the company that is permitted on ETB.

He can't have it both ways. Vote this guy OUT! He is planning just on the International vote for reelection, because that's his bread and butter. He expects to win...prove him wrong!

I looked into this and was told he is not on deployed status. He has a ppo block. However anyway you cut it is still WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

But remember,

IF he is in the office Monday-Friday then he is only legally pick up a 2 day and fly Saturday & Sunday.

And this is under the premise that you agree that He (ethically & morally) has the right to take time
away from line flying attendants, esp. those on reserve.

This post is dealing with two separate and distinct issues.

1. Claiming flight hours his in Not entitled to fly (see contract side letter).

2. Claiming FPL and flying 4 day international ETB trips.

Yes we do. And it is no stop b!tchin and complaining about the company, and the union. Yet we talk about trading vacations, recurrent, trips, etc too. Much is said too about US Avation, go figure? IT is not as much fun as US Aviation!! 😀
