PHL LECP double dipping just like predecessor?

I would love to see Andy run. I think he would do a great job. Does anyone know any PIT f/as coming to PHL who have been in the union there? Never been there, but never heard of these issues there.

Last I checked I was not legal to work my 7th day per FAA. Is JM actually legal to fly sat and sun after working and logging hours mon-fri? HHHMMMMMM.........

Also I know quite a few flight attendants, mainly reserves like myself, who tried to contact the union during the holidays double checking legalities, etc. Now I know that JM was in Europe which is why my call wasn't answered until the 27th. Seriously, would JM actually physically fly 105 plus ETB trips? I think not.

Don't know Grace but the other 3 would get my vote...I hope more will take the time to vote...if you don't vote don't bi%ch...
 
Any other union - the elected officials do not work their pre-position job they work in their union office
this is the only union I know that the president works in the office then takes hours from his members. I stated that many many times when Laura Albert was in office. She made her AFA pay through the union + she worked 4 to 5 flights a month (fco) along with her husband. No union personnel should work flights (unless the required quaterly flight) Because we as reserves are so scattered and not paying attention this is the kind of thing that is allowed to happen. Same thing with the oil companies (must be nice they are posting earnings) while the rest of the country is suffering. We as a people stopped screaming so their prices go higher. We just are too lazy to do something about it.

First let me tell you that it is NOT FAA rule that you cannot work your 7th day. That was something that was allowed by Mike Flores and the company. You may not be aware but as a b/h you can work your 7th day. IF you work for other airlines you can work your 7th day. I addressed Mike on this issue at every meeting and he always skirted the issue. At the union meeting last year John McCorkle finally admitted it was not an FAA rule. As you are aware the contract i seniority heavy - and the rules are not to help us. If there is a way to hurt the reserves it is done. As far as overflying - ask the union why the b/h are allowed to overfly - then when the supervisors bring them up on it - the union goes in the office screaming and fights it. The company as well as the union should be stopping this!!!

Now, all y'all had your vote, voted in WHO YOU WANTED, and now it starts all over again. The only
difference is IT's NOT LA...it's JM. (though that doesn't stop some people at taking pot shots at LA)

You've proven that NO MATTER WHO is voted in, you wont be happy. The only soloution I see is for a few of you on here that complain the most, run for office.
No it proves that power absolutely corrupts. If we were able to vote the people who stated they would stand for us and then actually did what they were supposed to morally and ethically then YES we would be happy. to make a change you start with a complaint and follow it through - it needs to be posted and people need to be aware. If you bought something brought it home and it did not work you would want to bring it back? what if the person does want to take it back then what? you start telling people not to go to that store. same example people should be free to express their feelings.
 
It's not too much to ask at all! Looks as if JM and LA were cut from the same cloth....... Who knew??? 🙄

I think that JM has been more helpful than LA ever was, but I have a problem with this guy being greedy and not available during the times the operation fell apart. Not cool. Oh, and the fact that he is "in bed" with the MEC...... this has to stop, and it will stop.

this is the same guy who voted for other lodos to come in only for the summer against the contract. these lodos came in the summer took trips from f/a who are based here plus got to go back to their base at no loss yeah really nice
 
I looked into this and was told he is not on deployed status. He has a ppo block. However anyway you cut it is still WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

He can have a PPO block, but if he said he was not deployed, he's lying (not surprising at all).

The issue here is his 108 hours claimed. There is no block worth 105 or 108, so someone has approved this amount from the company for him to claim, and he was never "red circled" for 105.

The company has violated the contract; and so has JM.

If the PHL f/as don't take care of this; than the company will think that the PHL f/as are not organized to protest anything. And things will continue as they have...no improvements; not even a perceived threat from the f/as.

Take care of business; and organize yourselves for change.
 
But remember,

IF he is in the office Monday-Friday then he is only legally pick up a 2 day and fly Saturday & Sunday.

And this is under the premise that you agree that He (ethically & morally) has the right to take time
away from line flying attendants, esp. those on reserve.

This post is dealing with two separate and distinct issues.

1. Claiming flight hours his in Not entitled to fly (see contract side letter).

2. Claiming FPL and flying 4 day international ETB trips.

HELLO! He Is Picking Up ETB TRIPS ! A Reserve Has ANY Right To Pick One Up If They Wanted To! As Does HE! 🙄

People voted him in because of his newsletter. They thought he would fight for the F/As but he got caught up in how much he could get money wise from the position. Now we know he's just full of a lot of hot air and needs to be voted OUT of office. Let him go back on line as a regular F/A again. That's where he needs to be if he is going to steal from the membership.
I would run myself but I don't think I know the contract well enough PLUS I know that it's a tough position that you have to be dedicated to 24/7 in the office....NOT doing ETB trips.

Wrong, wrong, wrong all the way around no matter how ya wanna try to spin and defend. If you use the excuse that you want to "be out there and visible" or some crap save it. JM would be much more visible doing some $h!tty 4day on the 737 than jet setting one leg to Europe and back to fly with many times the SAME people. I'll call BS so fast on that brother. Also he is being paid 105-108 and not red circled. He was told NO flat out when he asked for it. Now the company has circumvented the contract and broke it by GIVING him the 105-108 pay. Oh and he's NOT deployed? Is that what the story is now? Someone PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go on record here and SAY he isn't deployed. MMMMMMM HMMMMMMM. 🙄

True, being a union rep, in any capacity, can sometimes be thankless. JM signed onto the position of LECP, which should've paid 85FPL, according to the contract. Period. Suddenly, this contractual pay was circumvented, arbitrarily, by CS, with the argument that PHL is a large base. Thus, JM received 108FPL, illegally. That's the fact. (Gee, I sure would like 105 guarantee insteadof my 73 each month; to hell with the contract, maybe I'll give CS a call?)

Since he is capitalizing on his position, and stealing an extra 23 hours pf FPL each month, you see no problem with him capitalizing further, and flying MUC, MXP, and BRU, all in one of the most critically staffed months for FA's (DEC)??

Wake up, this guy is taking us for a ride, and he has snowed you even more than he snowed us. :lol: Read any of his past newsletters; he has nothing but disdain for the AFA, not the officers necessarily, but the AFA. You don't find that strange?

Rick, Terry, Michael, and Grace. That's what I'm talkin' about! Let's hope the race stays focused this time, without too many people running against each other for the same position, thus diluting the votes.

Oh, and phlfa88, why don't you pass the word to Sally Jean nd Mary Sue over there in the A West crew room about what's taking place in the office. And find out which one of them is sending our "very very very busy, I need 108FPL, but I can still fly 9 days of ETB in DEC!" LECP these Europe trips...

No one knows the contract without picking it up and reading it when a provision is challenged either by a f/a or supervisor. There is some of the language that is easy for interpretation, and some of the language needs to be investigated and argued. Don't let the contract scare you away from running for a union office. Lanugage changes, contracts become amendable.

There is not a union representative from the MECP to the local level that knows the language like the back of their hand. They have to find the section, read it, investigate it and then challenge the company for an arugment or not.

The criteria for a position in the union is simple... if you have thedesire, passion, and energy for change, the voice for representation, and the committment to defend and stand for your group...

Its just that simple.
