If there IS any merger, past experience shows that everyone is caught off guard. I would be inclined to think a Hawiian Airlines deal considering the recent build up. This could open up service further west, where there is alot of money to be made.

As far as the DAL pilots, its amazing what one will do with a gun to the head.

Exactly - unless I'm missing some EyeInTheSky sarcasm - Brazil is not an open skies destination. Chile, Peru and Argentina are Open Skies. But other than EZE, the big money is made in Brazil. The OP mentioned GRU and GIG.
