We Can See You Are Working HARD TO GET A IAM POSITION FOR YOUR SELF AT OUR EXPENSE.
Now the word
SELF )is the key word as in for me only.That Has To Be It Because Thats The Only Way We Can See You Sugar Coating That IAM Turd Of A Contract And Trying To Force IT Down Someones Throat.
Even with the sugar coating it still smells like a turd. :censored: :disguise:

Guess 700 is busy finding out from the IAM or the Company what to say next - IAM the company's best friend - the contract that gives you the right to work for less
The similarities between the two systems is incredible... I know I've used them both.
IMO WN is by far the better of the two airlines in terms of employment.

Position statements were due on February 28, 2006 by the National Mediation Board from both the Teamsters and the IAM about the mechanic and related craft and class at US Airways. The IBT filed a brief that is consistent with IBT represented groups at America West Airlines and NMB policy. It is well-established in NMB decisions dating back thirty years that mechanics and stock clerks are two distinct crafts and classes. That means the employees in the two groups are entitled to separate representation elections.
You will not be left behind. The IBT has enough authorization cards to run elections for both the mechanic and related and the stock clerk classifications. Even if a representation election is not authorized, that would simply mean that the NMB would issue a certification for stock clerks in favor of the IAM. In short, the stock clerks will not be left without a union.
The IAM has yet to file the brief they owe the NMB. Instead of fulfilling their obligation to the NMB, the IAM is engaging in scare tactics towards the stock clerks.
Don't buy the IAM's propaganda. The stock clerks will be a part of the representation process either in their own election or as part of the mechanic election.

why mention this if you got it aced???
he fails to mention that even if there is an election and IBT wins...that the IAM contract will be the successor until 2009 and then IBT can go for section 6 openers.
he also doesn't mention the fact that IAM has a time limit which they have to respond with their brief and the legal department will use all the time allotted them just as IBT would in the same situation,and the reason IAM has to respond was caused by an IBT objection to class and craft.
also no mention of past rulings where NMB finds M&R are included and have been at UAL and NWA.

Don't forget about the Transition Agreement.
The question is, Which union will be negotiating this agreement ?
if IBT would be the successor it would be them as they'd be maintaining the IAM agreement until its up for neg's.
would be the same if AMFA won on property when they were trying to go for U mechs a couple years back....they'd maintain and administer the agreement and you'd pay dues to them for basically nothing.....
