I think there are quite a few of us who agree with LAX amt, I would prefer AMFA, I would like to see the TWU go............ I haven't signed a teamsters card and I won't but I have seen more supporters lately at AFW, (the few that are left of us.....), how many are signing out of frustration?

To answer your question:
When we were denied access to talk to AMTs on the property we didn't throw our hands in the air and go home. Actually we put our hands in our jacket pockets because it was freezing on January 14 and we stood in the parking lot and talked to guys as they came to work or left work. Louie Key, AMFA National Director, (the guy we get to vote for), was right there next to us. We didn't give up because some spineless punks are afraid of the truth about a craft union so they run to management to deny us access. We are committed to this fight. LAX is perhaps tired of signing cards but each AMFA card we get signed from LAX gets us that much closer to getting rid of the twu and their suck asses. If you care to help get cards signed in LAX then send Jim or I a message. We WILL get rid of the twu at AA!

since you know who I am, there is an email feature thru this site use it so I will know who you are? I did get on to the AOA with another X lax amt. Both of us were escorted into the hanger we seen a few guys from 1500 and the B check guys. Said hellos
and told them who was here and what the plan was.
I went upstairs talked to both the "powers to be" said hello as well, was shown a letter that NO organizing was allowed on AA property. they also was explained why?
I am a man of my word, and always have been , so I said that would not happen, so we set up out side the gate and talked to everyone as they came into and left to work that day. I along with the others who were there got alot of cards signed. We were there from 1500 thru 0200, since we told the AMFA organizers there that we would provide food which was going to be done in the bay 11 break room we did send in 20 pizzas to the guys around 1130pm.
"You" are correct we need tulsa to get it done, there are guys there working hard to get that done as well. Its not the line stations, they have been on board every time.

base pay $28.02. AMFA base x 2 ($28.02 x 2 =$56.04) per month. $56.04 x 12 = $672.48. base pay $28.02 IBT base x2.5 ($28.02x2.5=$70.05) per month $70.05 x 12 = $840.60 $14.01 per month or $168.12 per year. works out to less than 9 cents per hour. that's the TRUE MATH
Is it "all in" or 'Base Rate". Base rate can be defined different ways, our dues are actually off our chart rate, as our base rate in the contract is our "all in" regular hourly rate(license etc).
So the question is do they charge us based upon the "chart rate", not including License, shift, long etc or do they charge based on our "Base Rate" -regular straight time hourly rate inclusive of license and shift premiums?
Maybe someone from UAL or CAL can answer that because as you can see it makes a big difference.

Even though your math is wrong, I am not willing to pay another penny into this contract. I have no issues with my local representatives at AFW, in Miami, or with any of the line locals. So why would I pay 18 cents more an hour for a different international, unelected business agents, and the same lousy contract?
