There really werent any savings from pulling UBB, because they replaced it with UBI, instead of elected officials getting it, Don gets to hand pick who gets it. So where are the savings? Pulling UBB was Don working with the company to try and squash all the Presidents he could not control. Management told me not to bid a shift in the fall, I thought I had to return to the floor on Sept 12, they told me that I didnt, something was going on with the union (Something? You think maybe you should have investigated that Bob?) so I would not need to come back till Dec, two weeks later the ATD dumps out their reorganization plan, management knew before we did!!!

• 1/28/13 Nominations open
• 2/11/13 5:00pm Central nominations close

• Polls close 12pm Central 3/22/13. Certify election. Post results.

Democratic elections for an undemocratic act. The Locals that are being liquidated are all financially sound, have been acused of no crime, were basically put on trial, convicted and sentenced without even getting their side on the record! And I thought the Kangaroo Court they put Chuck and I through in 2003 was bad. Things just keep getting worse with these guys running this union.

So you are saying you found out no sooner than the third week of December. Yet the restructuring was announced on October 25th. Stating management knew before we did implies you had no previous knowledge of this and were blindsided.

Tried, convicted sentenced and executed without even a charge or an opportunity to give our side. This is TWU Democracy at work?
No mention of Title II or Stores.Not only do they not have a voice in this either but they refuse to even recognize their existance.

Clearly retaliation, the Five Locals being dissolved all voted against the contract so they are dissolving them.
Now that King Don has his UBI to dispense as he sees fit he will have his unelected, appointed minions to do as he sees fit anywhere in the system and only have to deal with one Line President.
All the arguements they are trying to spin would apply equally to the FSC system as well.
Normally Charters are only revoked for cause.
There were no charges against any of the Locals, at least not public.
Yet in absentia we were basically put on trial, convicted, sentenced and executed without any chance to respond.

You paint yourself the victim of "International Conspiracy" Bob. Again, International made this announcement back in October and you made no mention of it before this thread.

Ok let me make this as clear as I can.

I was re-elected Jan1 2012, terms are for three years, you made the remark that I was campaigning, well the next election for our local would have been in two years. Understand?



Next seperate issue;

When the agreement passed in August we were told that with UBB gone we would bid, our bids were in September and June, the contract became effective on September 12, so I was going to bid and was informed by management at that time-NOT DECEMBER- that there was something going on with the Union and that I would not have to return to the Floor till December, and we would be having an interum bid starting in January. In December I was to return to the crew I was on before I became President for the few weeks in between. So do you get it now? The company knew in late August, when they told me not to bother bidding that by December there was supposed to be no more 561, 562, 563, 564 and 565.

When did I say that I was not informed until December? I said management said that something was going on with the union before the International announced that they were dissolving the line locals.

Hmm, when/if you get your Title II spot I hope to have better reading comprehension.

I am getting what your saying now Bob. You were informed in August that something was going on with the UNION but had no specific details. The letter came out October 25th two months later. Management informed you in September and not December that the locals were going to be disbanded. So the company had at least a 1 month lead on the information. Is that correct? The fact you knew about it in August and not October verifies your claims.
Did you take any steps in August to investigate what the "something was going with the UNION" was?

The COMPANY told YOU there was something going on with the UNION. That sentence alone speaks volumes. TWU truly is AA's best weapon against labor.

Hmm, when/if you get your Title II spot I hope to have better reading comprehension.

Though I could probably qualify for a position with my electrical background, I am not one of the TULE people that had a transfer in for Title II. I do not see much of a future at American Airlines anymore when American Airlines and TWU are "Working Together" to cut pay and benefits every contract but retain head count (and dues).

The line guys are affected by this. The Guys in Tulsa is business as usual. So Tulsa will have no motivation to get rid of the TWU. Again the TWU is pitting the line against overhaul in order to keep themselves in power. How sad.

You need to read the proposed bylaws. None of the statements you made are correct. All members will still vote on issues, meetings will still be held in all station locations, stewards will still exist at each location, each region (based on former local regions) will have VPs that administer grievance committees, and all committees and board members will have greater financial assets to draw up to represent the members who elect them.

A single M&R local with regional VPs would be the best for all members.
