Analysts say the aggressive cost reductions won't mean much if US Airways can't bring in more cash

I didn't write the above statement, some EXPERT did.

Reminds me sadly of this song:

Warning lights are flashing down at Quality Control
somebody threw a spanner and they threw him in the hole
there's rumors in the loading bay and anger in the town
somebody blew the whistle and the walls came down
there's a meeting in the boardroom they're trying to trace the smell
there's leaking in the washroom there's a sneak in personnel
somewhere in the corridors someone was heard to sneeze
'goodness me could this be airline Disease?

The employees was crucified for working at their post
they're refusing to be pacified it's them they blame the most
the watchdog's got rabies the foreman's got fleas
and everyone's concerned about the airline Disease
there's panic on the switchboard tongues are ties in knots
some come out in sympathy some come out in spots
some blame the management some the employees
and everybody knows it's the airline Disease

The work force is disgusted downs tools and walks
innocence is injured experience just talks
everyone seeks damages and everyone agrees
that these are 'classic symptoms of a monetary squeeze'
on CNN and ABC they talk about the curse
philosophy is useless theology is worse
history boils over there's an economics freeze
sociologists invent words that mean 'airline Disease'

looks like they used the 1113 letter at UAL, for their latest demands...I see some kind of lateral move in the game plan.

I suspect that we (US Airways) are suppose to be the object lesson for United. "If you don't agree to these cuts, then we'll liquidate just like USAir did".

Well It's time to dance or sit down.

If we agree:

- we'll be paid less than many "Sanatation Engineers",

- have any part of our jobs sent oversees,

- contract to have this done to us for the next decade,

------------ AND -------------

Set precidence for the whole Aviation Industry!

The ball is in our court.

WE get to decide what the worth of aviation workers are to society.

There is a special place in hell for people like Bronner and Siegel. I hope they go there soon.

I say shut the doors. The employees are tired of the company's "THREATS". Labor friendly my ASS !!!! What happens in another 2 months ? We need more concessions ? They can go f### themselves.

Yep. "Industrial (changed to 'airline') Disease", with "ITV and BBC" Americanized to "ABC and CNN", and the last verse ("two men say they're Jesus, one of 'em must be wrong...") omitted.
Strange thing is, I was just listening to this very song on CD in the car not more than an hour ago!
