The LOW CLASS in LCC Strikes Again

OK Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have brought this matter to the attention of my contacts within the executive office at Tempe, and this afternoon received a definitive reply, both via email and telephone:

It is NOT US policy to offer any BOB products for sale in the first class cabin at any time. The snack basket is offered to F cabin customers on non meal flights, and the BOB is NOT to be offered for sale up front.

That said, I also raised the question of the 3 1/2 hour meal limit, and indicated that this is not competitive with other airlines. I mentioned that the competition offers meals on flights of 2 hours in F in many markets, including the Northeast to Florida. They took this under advisement and I expect further comment next week on that subject.

I hope this clears things up a little.

My best to you all....

LCC 1,

I was never one of the doubters. I thought it was important enough to bring to the attention of senior management, and they confirmed the policy with me earlier this afternoon.

Thank you for all YOU do for us, your loyal customers.

My best to you all....

You can't offer BOB in the back and nothing up front, nor even allow BOB to be sold up front if it is requested by a passenger.

I have seen flight attendants many times put a "D" in the column to delete their mail after only reading the subject. Some items require you to open it before deleting it. Even some of my own friends do it and then don't know procedure changes or updates. It drives me crazy. Now about the BOB crap. If you are selling BOB for $3.00 in coach you cannot offer/sell it to a f/c passenger? What if a passenger in f/c wants one? Are we to tell they, "Ummmm $3.00 please"? That is as ghetto as it comes. Not to mention many flights are provisioned with about 10 to 12 snack packs. I just did a trip with 4 down and backs to Florida. That was the average on the 737. Do we have competent folks leading the way in Tempe or are we going to continue with this "Try And See" method. Is this another example of how they need to, "Get to know their elites"? Talk about a load of Bull$h!t. Offer something NEW to coach but the SAME OLD snack basket to f/c? I am starting to think that they truly don't care what our FF's think. The employees that don't is already visible. How about this," All the FF's leave and YOU will end up with another paycut". The Ma and Pa Kettles of the world won't pay the fares "They" the FF's do. It's not rocket science folks. Treat your higher paying "REPEAT" customers better to well ahhhh, "KEEP THEM". Lordy...... 🙄 🙄 🙄

They need to at least offer a snack-meal on flights of two hours or more. I'm not talking a full-on hot entree meal service, but, say, a nice sandwich with pasta salad or the like.

So, did they tell you that they will sell BOB, but it will not be offered in FC for sale or for free, or did they tell you that BOB should not be offered when there is no meal in FC. There is a huge difference.

"...they have started selling meals to FC and Y pax on flights to Florida."

Who makes these decisions? Is it the underpaid rampers in Phil or the contract utility in Clt?

If this is true, and I have no reason to doubt US1YFARE, it is an all time low for Airways....

If it is normal procedure, it is going to send people packing in droves.

Both the customers and the unions talk real big about how "We anin't gonna take it no more."

I've learned who blows more hot air than mgmt... and so has mgmt.

I agree with you. You are repeatedly wronged. It is abusive. You're right.

Free yourself. Leave already. 🙄

be careful of what you wish for. people are leaving. fc had several empty seats on two flights this week. one of them had about 4 seats open. I see this more and more. perhaps this the reason for the push to get more preferred members. the more often u see empty seats in fc it means u r losing preferred members. how many us1's and us2's are u seeing. the numbers are thinning. I see more and more US5's and US4's in fc.

I just got a it's been forwarded. Good God, for what you guys pay, how much is a freakin sandwhich and chips gonna take back the company? You've spent between $500 and $1200 and are upgraded to FC and $10 worth of food is going to break US Airways? Man, there are some small minded people in charge.

If my response sounded sarcastic, it wasn't intended. Save the statements for the Sandcastle, but I don't think stirring thr pot with those waiting here to biitch about US Airways benefits anyone. You guys know who here knows the rules. By not including us somehow feels insulting.

I honestly hope the reason they left is that they found a better product. If others find something better and tell us where they went I'll be happy to pass the word along to anyone who asks.

I like to fly the "A" position as much as possible. I like to work f/c more so than coach. I have honestly noticed that there are not as many US1's up front as there use to be. Even the US2's have dwindled. I see A LOT of US3's and US5's. Also more open seats. I have seen flights where they can't even push the upgrade at the gate crap. NOBODY WANTS IT! ! ! ! Employees that say "LEAVE", what is that doing for YOUR paycheck? It's like the company is saying, "This is the way it is and if you don't like it leave". Well they now see that FF's ARE leaving. They continue to pull this crap. It honestly makes no sense. 🙄

If the employees that have this attitude would leave, bring back the laid off ones who don't have this attitude, wow that would be a big win for customer service. They're too stupid to think that FF's leaving means eventually they will leave without a choice.

It's the grossly OVERPAID management in Tempe.
