To Kirk the Eastie who wrote up a West FA for her announcement....

I agree that the west crew should not have added the owned/operated by America West Airlines. We are now almost 2 years into the merger and this who aquired who needs to stop and stop now.


Then its about time management got off their keister and actually work on making this one company. Peoples printouts still have to say "Operated by America West" and in those stations that are currently ONLY USAIRWAYS, people dont have a clue as to where to go. Same goes for some of the former West stations that still have America West signs everywhere. If we are one company, then it needs to be one and not one when its convenient and separate when it benefits management. This lies squarely on their shoulders. And if they were going to do such a half a**ed job of integration that they've taken 2 years to do, they should have just done the one name/one company two years ago. At least we'd be that much further ahead of the game.
 
Why bother when the signs will change soon. Why bother negotiating contracts that will have to be nenegotiated with a third party.

More and more everyday it feels like it. Something's got to be going on. I know there are alot of rumors out there but it makes you wonder.
 
I don't know about west but if you are written up by a coworker here at east they have to tell you who wrote you up. It's NOT a secret. We need names, names, names. 😉
And those names make it back out online to other f/a's!!
Remember a few years ago when the East was transitioning to liquid creamers from the nasty powder and on some flights you only had a few so you kept them (the liquid creamers) up in first class.
Do you remember the new hire that was non-reving and asked for coffee with creamer and she got the powder rather than the liquid so she went up to first class asking/demanding for the liquid which she did not receive and was promptly sent back to coach so she wrote the crew up. Do you remember what happened to her mailbox? 😛h34r:
It was inundated for months with liquid creamers.
Her name was passed on to every crew coming into her base (Pittsburgh) for a long time.
Does she still work here?
I know her Dad worked for the Company too, but I don't remember where.
Bottom line, don't write your fellow employees up, period!
You never know when it'll bite you in the arse. 😉
If it's safety contact the Union first, or if it's not safety related then professional standards is a good place to start. I personally address the situation right there and then or I forget about it.

Thank you. We have a few bad apples on the West too. Each one has learned there lesson the hard way!
 
I used to work at an airline where this girl would leave the galley a mess- dirty coffee cups, food, banana peels- it was disgusting. I put everything she left in her mail file every day.

Kirk works in policies and procedures and is a former flight attendant. He should have just thrown it away. And if it bother this east flight attendant sooooo much... she should have gone to professional standards.

:blink: So which is it?? was Kirk the victim who just said the announcement from memory? Or was Kirk the perp who wrote up the FA who didn't read the announcement from the book?? Only because you want it to get worse. Just do your job and quit the whining. People as yourself thrive on negativity, and that is sickening.

I read comments like yours and think of people like you who ignore warnings, low oil pressure lights, grinding noises and other symptoms of imminent failure. When inevitable failure occurs (Iraq or a car) you, like the moronic right wing, cannot figure out why their "will" cannot propel something forward, blaming the symptoms for trying to get your attention instead of blaming yourself for not taking basic steps to verify, then resolve the symptoms.

The symptoms are not the problem, as you imply. They are simply warnings that a problem is about to manifest itself, a problem you cannot understand because you consistently and finally blame the messengers. Thinking good thoughts in the face of and without addressing symptoms of fundamental problems is a certain path to destruction and brings to mind Nero while Rome burns or Baghdad Bob.
 


Whoa, hold on US1...before you go running with this one! Kirk did not write up the crewmemember nor did he have anything else to do with the write up. Kirk is a Westie, but the only thing he did in this whole affair is bring it out into the open. Period. B)
