Well I totally spaced on the Czech Republic and Slovakia splitting into 2 countries. So BITE ME!Perhaps I should have said Eastern Europe or the former Soviet Bloc nations.
Instead of breaking balls why not offer the comments Hp Early Retiree offered?
Clearly he knows a great deal about Europe. While I OTOH just know where I want to visit and his point about having a Star Partner on the other end makes a lot of sense.
I non-rev'd a lot on Czech Air, Austrian, Malev and Lufthansa all over E. Europe during the 90's. One time, while expecting a then new A-310 at JFK, up pulls a IL-62M, a bit of a shock, but I made the flight, plane was like being in an old shoe, but we made it across the pond. There are still lots of European capitals that can't support a transatlantic: Riga, Bucharest, Bratislava, Minsk, Chisinau, Skopje, Tallin, Zagreb, Sofia, Vilnius.
Maybe if given fifth freedom to do a wrap to 2 larger cities, but those places are better served by their national airlines.
