We agree on the anonymous flier and that an unsigned document (or even a post such as yours or mine for that matter), should be taken with a grain of salt.

But a little investigation in to this (right click on the PDF, then properties) shows the name of the author and title he gave the document.

This guy works for IAM communications department. If this is true, the Machinists union has reduced themselves to some very slimy tactics in order to get elected.

It would be much better if they could run a campaign based on their successes in negotiating an agreement and their ability to make long term improvements for their members.

You do not have first hand knowledge as a mechanic at UAL, yet you so readily assume an opinion based on what you say are mechanic "friends" is non subjective. Perhaps you know them through the same IAM circles? No wonder they may seem biased? Did any of them complain about the wage increases we have seen compared to the Machinists represented employees? My pay check increased nearly $1000.00 every two weeks. The machinists have not had a raise since their wages were slashed in the 2005 bankruptcy. They currently make less than they did 10 years ago. And still the IAM is dragging their feet.

I agree on informed choices, but I also believe first hand knowledge is much more beneficial than second hand water cooler gossip.

You mean like forging cards and telling lies about opening contracts, pensions, and how powerful 1.4 million is during bankrupcty, unless you work for hostess? Pot calling Kettle black here.

You could just campaign on the benefits of having National level leaders found guilty of buying votes.

Or even better the benefits of being under Federal Government Oversight.

Could be as 700 said and he didn't have the savvy to change the properties when he copied the jpg and changed it into a pdf.
Seen it before. Kind of sloppy but doubt if it is such a big foofarah.

Also, the IBT could have very well made the pdf themselves.
Changing the properties before creating a pdf is hardly a difficult thing to do.

The flier is not fake, it came from AA MX breakroom in LGA, a picture was taken of it and sent to the IAM and Carlson converted it into a PDF instead of a JPEG.

Carlson works for the Transportation Department and IAM Legal all ready replied to the blatant lie from the ibt.
