If you go to the Hub, you can link to the catelog with all the items with their descriptions. I will give some basics. BTW, the uniforms are not the polyester of the 80's when we got the current uniforms. The % is lower but is still necessary because as Stan Herman stated, polyester is what keeps you cool. The problem in the past has been the blend. Stan has blended polyester, wool, and spandex to offer a uniform that will keep you cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and allow better movement. This was all talked about at the roadshow.
Listen guys, we can pick the uniform apart all we want, but it is here and we all need to look at the pieces, try them on, and decide what we like the best and what we look best in. Biitching about it will do no good. This is it! At least the company put out the money to provide a better blend of material. The introduction of spandex will provide more flexibilty of movement and prevent the shiny look associated with today's uniform. And yes, with just 4%.
The current sweaters are 100% acrylic, which doesn't breath and is very hot AND balls up too quickly. The new sweeters are 55% acrylic, 23% wool, and 22% nylon....a HUGE difference.
The current shirts are 65% polyester, 35% cotton. The new shirts are 60% COTTON, 40% polyester.
The current pants, skirts, jackets are 55% polyester, 45% cotton. The new are 53% polyester, 43% wool, and 4% spandex.
The DRESS...drumroll...is 52% polyester, 43% wool, 5% spandex.
So there you have it. The colors on the internet are not as true to form or as vibrant as in person. Infact, they are waaay off. Think lighter navy, royal, and skyblue...all colors I love. For that, I hate some either haven't or will not get to see them in person before ordering. The best in the industry? Far from it. The most comfortable? I think you will all be very pleasantly surprised.
