For those interested here is the company's proposal and what the contract would look like if ratified.

Depressing to read this offer.  The division the company is trying to create is disturbing to say the least. The loss of new work coming in is terrible.  A new hire would run like crazy once he saw how he was acruing vac, sck, hol, long, and worst of all hourly pay. But the real question is would the new hire even know before he was hired? I doubt it.  I too agree with what Dawg said above, and hope you guys vote this pc of crap down.  Thx for the update GT, let us know when the voting period starts pls...

You can't make this stuff up. How bad is it under the ibt at UAL? Check out this question and comments about the current contract proposal.

You have done a great service here. All the AA people need to be paying close attention to this.

This is your future. Get organized and talk to each other!

Holy crap.

gtd,  These are VERY lame answers to the questions.  Who in their right mind would vote yes on anything without ALL the info?  Leaving any part of a contract open to change after a passing vote is just ludicrous.  Looks to me like the Airline Division/Union is hiding some very important facts from the members.  The negotiators better throw this proposal back to the co and tell them to release all info or there will be no vote by the membership.  The simple response about the 1.50 of we won't know until the members ratify the contract is complete BS. NEVER vote something in that you don't have all the facts of.  Just ask the TWU members at AA how that turned out for them over the years.  This union needs to grow a pair and shove back to the co until they have ALL info available PRIOR to any kind of a membership vote.  If this crap gets through to a membership vote and passes, without all the info, you guys need to fire the teamsters...

The union has removed all responses to the questions posted. Obviously they feel it has done more harm than good to their cause. You just can't make this stuff up. I truly hope others learn from our mistakes and never ever accept the teamsters as their union. Happy Thanksgiving. GT

I know the TWU, and now the IAM as well have their shortcomings, but damn, the IBT looks really bad here, glad the IBT crashed and burned in their bid to get AA mechanics.

This is a horrible exhibition of representation.
I hope the membership votes this TA down handily, if it passes, it will lower the bar for AMTs significantly.

It was well known at the that the TWU and IBT were partners in thwarting another AMFA drive. Only a few dunces pushing the IBT were in denial about their motives.

I believe the TWU asked the IBT to help block AMFA, but IBT fully intended to take the mechanics if they could have. They filed and did a vote at US Air, i cant belive they didnt win. Apparently the US guys wanted to stay with the IAM..
