And the excuse for our so called "Union Brothers" accepting OT on the floor the same day persons were being escorted out? I realize they cannot refuse to call the OT when requested, but persons calling could have dragged there feet in respect for those being let go!!. With the garbage contract the mechanics have its not even worth going on roadtrips anyway! All that is heard is bitching when they return...

Yes, I heard of the DEN / BWI Mx closings today by my manager. Sad Indeed! Word is 15 mechs in DEN, and 10 mechs in BWI. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rumors earlier in the week had ATL and SAN Mx closing possibly. Guess they're ok for now.

21 mechs and 1 stock clerk in bwi. As always heard it from an outside source before I got the "Official word" I think we will stop working acft beginning of Feb. Nothing in writing yet. Not the first time for any of us.

Been there done that....really sucks that you have to find out that your job has been eliminated and you have to hear it from the rumor mill or company because nobody in the Union seems to have th "official word"? Don't worry a few days after you receive your paperwork from M&E the fax will beep and you will get something from the union.....

Has anybody seen the new senority list due out 12/1/2009 ? Supposed to be revised twice a year and used to be post in work areas? How hard would it be for the IAM to post on their website?

yes, the 12/09 seniority list is out now. Ask your shop steward to obtain a copy for your station.

Sad thing is u never used ask for a senority list they always seemed to be there......

What's nice to have is a current "STATION ROSTER". This is a must for those being furloughed or bumped. Nice to see where you can go and what shift you could hold. It lists all maintenace personnel by station, seniority, and shift. Haven't seen an updated one for about two years now. I think it's just a matter of typing in some code and then hit the ole print key? Check with the boss.
