And half the brains. Maybe she needs to be trained about fuel conservation, going direct is not always the most cost effective route. Throw her in the class with the 8 captains.

No way, Pi. Training is NOT supposed to be punitive. Putting her in the class with the eight captains would be cruel and unusual punishment...for the eight CAs. S
 
The company started this mess when they took these 8 captains and sent them to a non FAA approved "remedial" training event. Since there is nothing in the FAA approved pilot curriculum that deals with this "class" session, it means that the tactic was a purely arbitrary move by the company.

The union objected and asked that the company follow contractual protocol to solve the problem. The company ignored USAPA's request for proper protocol. USAPA told the company EXACTLY how they would respond if the company did not back off on this unapproved "training." The company AGAIN ignored USAPA.

USAPA followed through with EXACTLY what they warned the company that they would do. That resulted in the USA Today ad yesterday. The company was recalcitrant to USAPA's objections to their ignoring past practice and contractual provisions. The company thought they were dealing with ALPA. USAPA called their bluff.

USAPA's actions were totally upfront and avoidable by the company; it had no direct relationship to the contract negotiations which have just begun. I suspect, though, that it did serve as a de facto wake-up call to the fact that USAPA is NOT ALPA. It may influence negotiations, but it was not the point of the ad.

USAPA only proved a ,point , that their stupid …

The company hasn’t officially invoked it … but it’s in effect none the less … they don’t NEED to invoke it because anyone with half a brain understands the economic climate and industry we are squared off against …

Obviously you don’t …. The only progress USAPA is going to make is reducing the west pilots pay to the east pilots pay rates sooner rather than later …

Do you not understand that we are FLYING toward our next bankruptcy ???? possibly liquidation ?

You are stepping over the line here. You do not want to partcipate in your own unions activities but think you have the right to tell the pilots how to conduct their own union. Get over yourself and your delusions.

i'm sorry , i was waiting to hear you explain the state of the us airline industry ? you were saying something about how things weren't that bad ? please , explain ...

Don’t like the fact that I’ve come out to administer a swift kick in the ass to USAPA , then perhaps they shouldn’t do things that are idiotic .

but back to the industry .... you were saying ???
 
there comes a point when folks become SO disgruntled they'd rather see the entire company go down in flames... i think that time is coming ....
so lets say may 26th

How did you get from that point to the point you now find yourself, whining at folks that you perceive may be harming the company and your raise that you continuously remind us of and that you seemingly gleefully state that no one else can have because the company is out of money.

If oil comes back down to 110 something , then yes feel free to proceed with your work actions , union plans etc … until THAT time … tough …
