I was just wondering, why is NLC still here all weekend? Though she was going away for 15, 30, 75 days...whatever...

The simple fact is this, HP has ...shall we say.." a colorful past"....and I find it extremely funny that the name calling has ensued...in light of the irony of it all..

just stop, just sue USAPA...and keep the self-embarrassment to a minimum..thats my advice.

as to the jumpseats...well, that can well be another issue the company will "fix"...just like the fuel deal...

problem is...when the subjects names are pulled, they will undoubtedly be on the 'hit" list the company has....so....

hasta'la'bye-bye.....your call...

I think it best I depart for the night as well. It occurs to me that some of my commentary might occasionally place additional "Stress" on some who seem
already incapable of even dealing with the awesome, combat-level "Stress" attendant to merely carrying jumpseaters....and..I can't have that on my conscience tonight 🙄

Regarding my link about america west pilots going to Australia to interfere with pilots on strike. The quote of the america west pilot in Australia was troubling. It was hard for him to keep from laughing at mother and children of the pilots, the america west pilots were taking jobs from. america west pilot quote below;


"Well, what can one say? It was an interesting technique, but you could tell that the kids would really rather have been someplace else at the time.

In fact it was kind of hard to keep from laughing."


Yea taking a living from women and children is a real yuk yuk for west pilots.
 
That may be factually accurate, but it is surely a stretch here, friend. You are leaning WAY over to the left to side with some J/S who needs a ride to work "creating " a life-threatening environment...as you suggest.

Woahhhh... I didn't say I agreed with leaving a jumpseater behind. I prefaced the whole thing by saying that it should never be used as a tool. So I agree with you. I'm also not saying that there are not West pilots doing this. I'm also not saying it's not a stretch. I'm just saying that the jumpseat still falls under captains authority. That's all. If it is being abused, it needs to be addressed. But you can't force a captain to take jumpseater.

Just playing devil's advocate here. And I do remember quite a few East pilots saying that they would never fly as an FO for a West pilot hired after them because it would be a safety of flight issue. Again, this is no different than that. The attitude is wrong, but it exists on both sides, not just the West.

As for the fuel example I gave, it happened will above FL200. UA now has a policy due to this incident that crossfeeding is never to be done unless an imbalance develops that exceeds an aircraft limitation, or if directed to do so by an emergency checklist. Then it is only to be done via a crossfeed checklist and not by memory.
 
You are comparing apples and oranges. Some east pilots threatenend - that is a hypothetical. A number of west pilots actually committed the act - that's a fact.
Fair enough. But the East pilots who threatened it didn't commit the crime because they didn't have an opportunity to... yet. If the circumstances presented themselves, would those same pilots have followed through on their threats? Who knows? But the attitude and reasoning behind it is the same. It is just as wrong in both cases.

Kinda like the whole bankruptcy thing. US was actually in bankruptcy before the merger. But according to the East, the West would have been in bankruptcy in the future. It never happened, so it was only hypothetical. But I think everyone agrees that absent the merger it was a distinct possibility at some point in the West's future.

Just trying to be fair here. The rules are constant and apply no matter which foot the shoe is on.
 
Weak analogy.

Why were there two lines waiting for the same thing? If they were waiting for the same thing, the folks waiting for an hour must have been pretty clueless to be doing so in light of the fact that a shorter line was available.

If they, instead, were waiting for different things, the analogy make zero sense.

So I think all the stupid people over there in the long line should be.......well, see the avatar, thank you.

No matter how hard you try, the Nic is there - it makes absolute sense, and will eventually be the guide for the final and binding merge of the two brotherhoods.

If that is the case and you are right, if the jury is out, if the fat lady hasn't sung, if the Nic will eventually prevail - then why not take the high road and refrain from the AWAPPA histrionics, jumpseat denials, illegal activity, etc.

You say the Nic is a done deal and you are not worried. You act like a child throwing a fit in the supermarket because you are not getting your way.

I've "wondered" about that same issue. Since AWA-Nic Uber Alles is a forgone conclusion...and the west group's a collection of the finest "professionals" ever to take flight.....and, of course.."INTEGRITY MATTERS"...Well..one's logically, left a bit "confused" by observing the actually bizarre behavior out there.

Thank you for noticing. Gone from work, living the good life, planning to wear only t-shirt, swimsuit, and flip flops for the next month or so. Its so remote here that I'm having to use a satellite internet setup to keep an eye on the usap propagandists.

Just trying to help the "long line" boys and girls - I've always been fond of community service.

That's a very good thing. Given the behavioral patterns exhibited out west?..You eventually may well get a chance at serving some "Community Service" time :lol:

PS: I must note that I do admire your dedication. Whenever vacationing in any area "so remote here" as to require "satellite internet setup"...I've always "made sure" to pack along a computer, 😉 so as best to be "living the good life, planning to wear only t-shirt, swimsuit, and flip flops for the next month or so". All that diving, sunning, swimming, sailing,feasting and partying/etc... can just get so very tiresome otherwise. 😉 Don't get me wrong here: I wouldn't dream of questioning the veracity of any of your statements..neither the one's that claimed you would be absent from this forum for a month or so...nor your latest "creative writings"...since "INTEGRITY MATTERS" so much to you.

What part of our sole goal is to destroy usapa don't you get? what part of 1800 of us consider the east worst than scabs can't you understand? We will join usapa only when it's strategically beneficial to us, designed to force the scabs to have the most miserable life possible.
