Hmmm. He hasn't gotten anything right yet.

Maybe it won't be as amusing as I was hoping.

famous leonidas quotes;

12/05/07
"No you won't, you will shut up and get the captain his drink, peanuts and whatever else he tells you to do, that's a promise.'

02/24/2008
"The only conundrum is for usapa, it the TA does go away, then the Nic. list is effective that day, if it stays, you need separate ratification to get a contract, eithe way it looks like usapa wining would implement the Nic. quicker than national."
03/26/08
"You are correct, usapa=scab stickers are all over phoenix, las and with 2000 more ordered by the army they will be all over the country soon."
"If USAPA should prevail in the upcoming election, they will very likely face humiliation and failure on a magnificent scale.
Remember these words, remember them well."
04/17/08
"I will be laughing tomorrow, you will be shocked at the number of easties that haven't voted. BTW you are aware that the west's war room contacts every pilot and logstheir vote, or did you think we were just sitting around?"
"This just in, over 40% of east pilots have not voted as of 5pm on 4/16. 98% of west pilots have voted with 20 still waiting for a ballot."
"Pretty sad then, so many of your ardent supporters didn't even bother to vote."

04/18/08
"ALPA lost by over 400 votes, the war is on."

"Remember these words, remember them well." Who could ever forget such exquisite prose? 🙄 Heck!..I'd love a signed-by-the-author copy of just "I want the captain seat...and most of all, I want every single east pilot to pay for it" all by itself 😉

So now the Westies are gonna join? That sucks!

Neg Sir..My understanding..as best that I can come to from the west postings is:
1) Their sole goal is to destroy USAPA..so they'll do that first.
2) After they've triumphed in this endeavor..and at a time of their most brilliant strategic choosing..they'll then join the organization that they've utterly destroyed..umm..?? I admit to having some slight confusion as to these notions not being mutually impossible...but hey!..We're talking westie "logic" here.
3) USAPA could never win the election..and there was much laughter in the west camp as a result...Umm..OK..scratch that as well.
4) "If' USAPA were to win..the Nic would immediately be put in place...no problem with the logic there either.
5) Should..as proved the actual case...NONE of the above fantasies came to be...then Nic will yet triumph, all east pilots will live in utter misery...and "it makes perfect sense".

..well that's what they're saying anyway!..It's not MY fault if it all sounds completely insane!

That scab organization is going to have a heck of a bill coming up, and yes no awa pilots will be paying for awhile yet. Stay tuned

"...and yes no awa pilots will be paying for awhile yet. Stay tuned" Hmm..perhaps an unintended slip = "for awhile yet" no longer arrogantly presumes utter immunity from legal actions. That "defendant status thing" must be troublesome for a "few" out there it seems.

Just curious....
Has there ever been a case of a jumpseat rider having a working crewmember removed for erratic or irrational behavior ???? It could happen. TSA clowns have accused crews of being drunk in the past with quite the media splash. Are leonidas and his minions still flying the line or are they on battle fatigue r&r.

Wow! Imagining west pilots bent over a map with tiny airplanes and tiny armies stacked up around them and sticks to move the pieces around the map. and, the cigar smoke embracing battle lamps. Air raid sirens and flashing lights.

<<< strategically >>>

from Bartlesville, nigh onto the front lines, almost touching those east devils.

Indeed.

*************

Darn. Just read you alls replies to Leo. But he seems so serious.

I see your proper concerns sir. For myself?...I'm more tactically troubled by the purported stockpile of fully 2,000 "USAPA=SCABS" stickers that leo claims were ordered by "The Army of Leonidas"..presumably for disbursement throughout the civilized world it seems. As I've seen none myself...it must be assumed that these WMD's (Weapons of the Mentally Distressed) may yet be secreted away in some PHX or LAS desert bunker, ready and able to be be launched at the whim of the west..... Many of these people have shown deadly dedication when merely armed with utter idiocy, issues of arrested personal development, envelopes filled wth their "INTEGRITY", and fast-draw phones....Who knows what destruction might arise from 2,000 stickers? I must emphasize the severity of the threat sir = TWO THOUSAND STICKERS!!. Do these westies know how to wage "All Out Warfare" or what!? 😉 Consider just the effects if merely used as flypaper? What if they take off the backings!!??..and simply assault helpless people with "icky" stickiness!? Most seriously = Think on the actual potential as a viable weapon..if stuck together, accurately targeted, and dropped from sufficient altitude so as to gain terminal velocity? This "ARMY" of Leonidas business is no laughing matter!! 😉 well..OK ..maybe it is 😉

On a serious note = I'd never even consider any such action for the ridiculous reasons of "political", much less personal whims. I've never been a guest with any crew, about to carry passengers aloft, that gave me the least inkling of any impairment, nor do I expect to ever encounter such in the future.

The absurdly childish, westie BS concerning the jumpseat should be harshly dealt with...and quickly forgotten afterwards. Any/All will always be welcome on "my" jumpseat. The quotation marks around "my" are there for a reason. I realize that I don't own either the aircraft or it's fixtures.and am merely being trusted with it's responsible command and operation. What I/We all do OWN...is proper pride in our profession..and with that..the duty to conduct ourselves responsibly, and with at least a modicum of decency towards others within the profession.

FYI

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution, a BPR Meeting is being called by USAPA President, Stephen Bradford.

The meeting shall commence at 10:00 a.m., EDT on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 and will adjourn at 5:00 p.m., the same day, or at the completion of business.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Discussion of USAPA response to management’s encroachment of “Captain’s Authorityâ€￾ relating to “Fuel Conservation Training Days.
Board action on the acceptance of all appointed Committee Chairman.
Board action on West USAPA Membership applications.
Late agenda items.

Meeting location in CLT to be announced.
HHmm "West USAPA membership applications"???????

FYI:

Fellow Pilots,

Your Negotiating Advisory Committee met again the week of June 30th and continued work in preparation for our next scheduled meeting with Management the week of July 14th. We will also be meeting again with Management on July 28th.

During the week we postponed some of our regular contract review and discussions to spend some time crafting an Extended Voluntary Leaves of Absence (EVLA) agreement for the West Pilots. The East currently has an EVLA agreement which, in the past, has proven to be a useful and popular tool during times of furlough. The West does have a Voluntary Furlough agreement, however that agreement has a major disadvantage of not being able to “bump back" to active status after 3 years as does the East agreement.

The Committee worked to provide the West pilots with East parity EVLA benefits, tailored to the West Contract. The Company and the Union were able to work together expeditiously to craft this agreement for the immediate benefit of our West brothers and sisters.

As we move forward, please stay informed by visiting the official USAPA web site or seek out your Pilot 4 Pilot Reps. Official USAPA Communication sources are your guarantee of accurate information; anything else should be questioned and could possibly be intentionally misleading.

Thank you for your continued support, and as always, “be a good union pilot.â€￾

Respectfully,

NAC

I am stunned! I came across this forum very much by accident when trying to find some information on US Airways flights. I was about to buy a first class ticket out of my own pocket (no passes, no company ride for this lady) on US Airways.

I say about because I now wonder if I care to fly with an airline (either US Airways or America West) with so many pilots who seem to have anger issues that, frankly, are bordering on mental health issues.

Good grief, ladies and gentlemen, if you didn't know it before, you know it now - the public can read your venom. No matter which you fly for, the financial future of your airline is certainly anything but secure and now you've driven away a full fare first class passenger! I doubt I am the only one.

Why not get a board where you can post your vitriol in private, call each other whatever names you want and not involve the public?

You are right on about the Anger issues plus the personal judgment of some posters is quite impaired. Some should be sent for a psychological evaluation before a 1st class airmen certificate is issued.

Normal human beings get angry. It's a fact of life...even a birthright.

O L1011Ret...O Knower of All Things Aviation...

Please tell us that you have never been angry, even in a cockpit.

Or, in that instance when, You, O Supreme Aviator, became angry how you managed to avert disaster, so that those of us still plying the skies can somehow, through superhuman effort, manage to get our aircraft safely from point A to point B?

The fact of the matter is, they could send every one of the 5700 US Airways pilots for psychological evaluation and we would likely all pass. Anger is not a psychological illness or even an aberration. I would be more suspect of a pilot who never got angry than one who finds appropriate venues outside of work to safely vent that anger.

O L1011Ret...please, your humble aviation progeny plead that you

GET A LIFE!
