No, not a pilot, it may come as a surprise to you, but there are other jobs on this earth that people take pride in doing! And if I am not the hottest ticket, too bad for me, it keeps me on my toes, I don't need some goon squad collective to cover for me.

Just a guy who can sleep at night knowing that he speaks for himself and doesn't have to sell out any principles to some corrupt collective.

And, there are more of us non union folk than there are of you in this country, and more each year!

If you think he has poor judgement, what do you think of a guy who on his day off came up with his own "Jumpseat" form!

Actually, after some soul searching, I've decided that this Jumpseat form is a pretty good idea. I'm really tired of gabby jumpseaters weighing in on what's happening at USAir.

In fact I'm recommending all USAirways pilots get copies and have each and every jumpseater you have travel sign it. Yes, that includes United, American, Southwest, all jumpseaters.

Since the PHX Chief Pilot apparently has a file for these forms, send them to him. In fact, since it should be an open file, on your next trip through PHX go in and ask to see the file.

Where can I get a copy of that form, I've got a 4 day coming up in and out of Florida and I'll bet I have a dozen jumpseaters.

No, it's a dumb ass idea. And I don't know what's up with this "form". The only thing a AAA pilot has to sign is the jumpseat form. Now if a C/O wants to be a dick, just lay it out. Don't come out with this joke. Show me where this form is in the FOM and I have to sign it. Man up, just say no. Be a dick. But man up.

I have only been on this website for a few months and have only become a posting member about two weeks ago. I have only posted 5 or 6 times since then. I will say this to BOTH sides of the argument, "It is better for people to think you are an idiot than it is to open your mouth and prove them right". I am absolutely appalled at the childish nature from both side and can not believe you folks consider yourselves professional adult people. And by the way I am an east pilot. I will no longer post or look on this board, it is truly pathetic of both sides to conduct themselves with such behaviour.

BTW, state court rejected juristiction. Good luck with the Feds. Youll need it. Any idea when the last time a Federal court granted a TRO or injunction in a DFR case? I am no lawyer but I heard it was moved to the Feds. Something about the Feds sending it back to the State and then we can get on with it. AOL anticipated this delay tactic by USAPA to move it to the Feds and then see it back where it belongs thus removing any ability by USAPA to frustrate a timeline. So I guess you heard wrong. It was not "rejected" it was simply moved... Pretty smart if you ask me.

What happened as I understand it is the case was moved from superior court to fed district court. Same thing happened when east mec sued west mec in washington dc. west asked for it to be moved to fed court. fed judge reviewed and said no the superior court in dc can hear this case and sent it back.

The fed judge in this case may do the same thing and send it back to maricopa county or the judge may decide to hear the case. Either way the injunction is not dead, nor is the case, and there is yet another suit already filed in the fed district court for Arizona.

Also, there has been some speculation that the west shopped for a lawyer that would tell them what they wanted to hear. It was more like every lawyer told us what we wanted to hear( i.e. you have a great case) we simply shopped for the firm who we felt would proceed in the most favorable manner.

And while we are on the subject of lawsuits and greivences, lets do a little tally.

East: Sues west mec, doa because of new cba. East sues AWAPPA miserable loss, but they appeal.
East attempts to have 4 pilots fired for non-payment of agency shop, appeal to VP who sides
with 4 pilots east wants arbitration.

West : Files 2 suits, one in fed district court other in superior court. Both pending.


so it is pretty much

East: 0 and 3
West: just getting started.

As far as this not being over until O'dell retires, you are probably correct. Biggest problem is O'dell and some other 130 west pilots are now furloughed out of seniority, beginning in 5 days.
