Well, it's simple...actually.

This Captain who created this, and all who use it, are substituting their own responsibility of the flight for that of the company's.

To wit:

On a full flight from A to B....and under a Captain who is subscribing to this BS document, when an innocent usage of a $1.00 dime store calculator for logbook reconcilliation by the jumpseater results in an "emergency" being declared, an unforcasted landing in "who knows where" is performed...

Who do you think is going to go down for this?

The J/S who was reconciling his logbook with a $1.00 calculator?

Or the Captain who declared under the auspices of his UNAUTHORIZED jumpseat document?


I can't wait to hear these west responses....

I cannot wait until this actually happens..I can't wait.

When you figure out what "ACM" means and the duties of an ACM you may retract your post. Last I checked, flight crew are not supposed to be balancing their checkbooks, logbooks or counting their pennies in their bank account. You need to learn to follow rules better.
