Welcome to the 3% club. Oh, BTW, Boston is toast as are the remaining 15 baby jets. Look for the post holiday annoucement.

You're taking a lot of enjoyment at the prospect of east pilots hitting the street aren't you?

I do have to agree with Metro's statement, though. Nothing is going to keep the company from making a business decision, no matter how ill thought out or illogical. We've come to expect nothing less around here.

USAPA, by doing the picketing, did the only thing it could really do. I doubt it accomplished anything at all, other than a feel-good day for those that were in BOS that day. My guess is that the entire subject went out of the minds of Bostonians within 30 seconds of the news story being broadcast. It went out of the minds of the politicians, the few that have them, within 60 seconds. It's done, time to move on

Metroyet may be taking pleasure in the prospect of east pain, or maybe not. There is little doubt in my mind that there is still yet plenty of pain to be inflicted on both sides, and it will come.

I'm not taking any more or less enjoyment out of that notion than Cleary et.al are taking in the fact that they will gladly terminate the careers of West pilots for not paying their tribute. Imagine, paying thousands of dollars in "dues" to a UNION that has sworn to destroy you. Moreover, 65% of your hard earned dollars go directly into the pocket of Lee Seham. For what? So he can star in a high school sophomore quality video production wherein he lies to your face and describes, point by point, the strategy to use your money to attempt to steal your career...all the while being cheered on by "MY" president with his cool hat and the ubiquitous, ever silent, Lurch. In any setting, other than an RLA labor union, this would be called extortion and be obviously illegal. That's the story of USAPA. At least ALPA had internal oversight. The oversight for the, new more "democratic" union is entirely done by the Federal Court System. Congratulations USAPA. Hell of a product you've come up with!

So, am I taking "enjoyment"? Hardly, We haven't seen an enjoyable day in our careers since the day the dying, ugly step-sister moved in and started eating all our food.

They did have a good set dresser. Between the gavel and Cleary's perfectly positioned hat it was so good it was nauseating. BTW, before many of you jump at that observation, I also hate the way they dress the sets for political speeches (with the requisite supporters in the background) and other stuff like that. This was more of the same in that vein.

Oh, my, my....what the drama queen.

You don't work here, so why would you have digestive problems based on the viewing of a "video?" I will leave that to your shrink and you to work out. Had you ever visited the USAPA offices you would have seen the setting was simply the President's office, and the gavel has been there for (very nearly) years. It is the same gavel that is used in BPR meetings, and sits in that office daily when not in use. I am sure the 9th will be concerned about gavels and hats. It gives me great pleasure to see so many of you concerned about such matters. I sense a great disturbance in the force is about to occur. Other than the spectacular win in front of Judge Wake, I have seen nothing other than the usual hate mail here to challenge my supreme intellect. I look forward to our dual 15 minutes of fame!

Less enjoyment than you took at the prospect of stealing the jobs of 1800 West pilots.

They're having to spend their own money and time to keep you from taking what they are legally and morally entitled to.

If I was one of them I'd be furious.

Nothing gets an ALPA FPL lifer's blood to boil like a pilot with a ballot.

Post of the year!

Don't you get tired of being wrong?

I've never done any ALPA work, paid or unpaid.

It doesn't surprise me that you can't understand taking a position based on what is right vs personal gain.

" I have seen nothing other than the usual hate mail here to challenge my supreme intellect. "

I wish I was as smart as you think you are.

Then where's my ballot on whether or not to pursue the RICO and Nic appeals? Oh, no. There are just some things pilot's shouldn't vote on. (hint - "we think they're too stupid"-BPR)

"So we here at USAPA will keep 'em ignorant, keep 'em fightin' and let 'em vote on things of little consequence. A pretend union and pretend influence are made for each other. "

That's the video they should be showing if honesty mattered.

I look at the statements about set dressing and others as this. If that video had any substance or valid information the minor details would be overlooked. But that video was such nonsense and devoid of reality the viewer had to start looking at everything other than the message.

Actually, most USAPA members are unsure of the results of the current legislation. They are out flying aircraft and taking care of families and really can only hope for the best. You can be sure that most of them (majority), some of who will be soon hitting the street, are steadfast in their resolve that a probationary pilot should not go ahead of a 17 year unbroken service pilot in seniority. That does not make it so, but you are simply wrong in your observation of lack of resolve.

RR
Oh no doubt that the east pilots have resolve. Why else waste all of this money and time on a losing strategy? But in the end it will not matter for a second. You can have all of the resolve in the world but when a federal injunction is in place that has bigger resolve.

You guys can have the opinion a junior reserve F/O on the east is some how senior to a line holding F/O on the west or a captain, but the man we both agreed to let decide did not agree with you. A jury in federal court did not agree with the strategy to negotiate away from a final and binding list and they agree with the west. A federal judge in NC did not like your resolve to try and crush 18 individuals with a multi-million dollar law suit and dismissed that case with prejudice

So have resolve all the way to your retirement but it means nothing other than a miserable life because of anger that the east is going to hold. That your resolve to hold that anger despite the reality of the situation will only tear you all up emotionally.

But that is your decision to make. Hold all of the resolve you want or accept the facts and reality of the situation and move on.
