US Pilots Labor Discussion

Most of the East guys have been in commercial aviation since you were in High School. Maybe even Middle School.

And many of them were on the street when the merger happened. What is your point.

PS. I have been flying since middle school, how about you?

PSS. I work the gear from the left seat.

How about your integrity? You went to work for one of the lowest paying airlines in the US. If nobody accepted a job at AWA they would have had to raise the pay. For most of it's history it was one of the lowest paying airlines in the country, and it's contract a template for LOA 93. Why did you do that and screw every pilot in the country?
Then why is it that pay parity is so important? Answer: because a West captain makes over 20k more than the guys sitting to your left. Already they're a 100k behind their West counterparts, not to mention the horrendous disparities in scheduling, vacation, and the reserve system. You promised them a quick contract, but here we are going on three years of the USAPA experiment and it'll be at least another 2-3 years before the legal obstacles clear. Wow. That'll be eight years and counting on LOA 93. Maybe you should just go for your ten year pin LOA 93 pin!

That is rich. This coming from a pilot group that purposely walked out of a contract that would have bettered all pilots lives (east/west) over 3 years ago. A pilot group that voluntarily took bigger pay cuts than management had been asking for while in bk. A union busting pilot group that is despised industry wide and deemed as "untrustworthy" by all other carriers. And finally a pilot group that earns 30% less than good old western america pilots. You must be very proud of your accomplishments

Hey tell me fodase, what year did you start working for AWA?

Sorry to break it to you, but the frame above that inscription in the history books shows a pic of some America West guys, scabbing in Australia. There are a few United guys in that pic as well.

Most of the East guys have been in commercial aviation since you were in High School. Maybe even Middle School.
I will take our 8 australia scab against your 2800 union busting scabs any day.

There is no one sitting on my left. It does help me to know that when we do get parity, it will come out of your hide.

Actually, before Middle School. But NOT in commercial aviation.

There were some East pilots on the street. Good thing that when US Airways saved America West there was enough profit from the East flying to return ALL furloughees and even hire more pilots. Don't believe it? Go read the quarterly results.

Yea, you caught me. It's actually the PM that does that, but you're the first to notice. I was just speaking "for effect" as Doug says.

I think ALPA has you beat on that one LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, I'm not a scab, I pay ALL Union Dues and assessments, whether ALPA, Teamsters or USAPA, MIGS since day one at all three. Please be careful who you call a scab. I haven't crossed ANY picket lines EVER.

Gentleman my behind. Bob is an ardent supporter of loa 93 and screwing the west pilots. You obviously measure a man's integrity by his unfortunate situation instead of his actions
Fadase,

I'm not a supporter of loa93. IT SUCKS. But having said that I'm a supporter of the pilots I have worked with over the years. If we ever get together before I leave I will support you as I have supported those on the east side. I sincerely hope some day there will be an end to the hostility between the pilot groups and the terms east and west will mean nothinBest regards,

Bob Moore

Maybe his wasn't. As a matter of fact, given the abysmal hourly rate, I'm sure it wasn't . But mine certainly was. ...

Ok. Maybe you can go back and figure out what he was saying and then make a relevant post accordingly.

Fodase,

Lets make one thing clear....I'm not a supporter of loa 93, it sucks. Having said that I am a supporter of the pilots I've worked with over the years. If we ever put the two sides together before I leave I'll support you also. I sincerely hope to see the day when the terms east or west only describe a compass heading and not a pilot group.

Best regards,

Bob Moore

You are a laugh riot.

Yeah, I remember when USAirways saved America West and we recalled all those furloughed Airways pilots. They got their DOH seniority and went from the street to the captain seat. Then they got a big old industry leading contract raise, 72 virgins, a powerball win and total conscienceness. Then the DFR alarm rang and they woke up and the sheets were wet.

Airways saved America West.... what a riot.....must stop laughing...stomach hurts.....

Keep rewriting history..your version is much funnier than the dull and boring, "America West Aquires USAirways" that was the headline in every news release regarding our merger, oh, and the company publications.

Hey if it makes you feel better, keep telling yourself about those mean old West pilots who are trying to "Steal" your shot at stealing their job.
