Just got off the phone with an east bud of mine that is in phx for training. He passed along that they have 5 east check airman working out here last week and every single one is publicly supporting the west candidates for union office, not only that, they claim the majority of all east check airman are supporting Eric F. One has to wonder why they would choose to do that, but it's good news none the less

Perhaps the reason is quite simple? Maybe they want a contract that pays more than Rinky Dinky Spirit pays. Sooner or later it all comes down to money.

So in addition to the Check Airmen, the third listers, and the west, you have easties like these that are fed up and will vote for Eric. Should make for a great vote should the west turn out en masse (which it looks like we're doing) and the voter apathy remains high out east.

You keep polluting my mailbox after I asked you to stop. Since you won't I have a question and a statement for you.

Explain to me how you can possibly negotiate on good faith when your constitution and by laws state you have to negotiate a DOH list. So since you have to stick to that for section 22 and if the people you are negotiating with disagree on that position you can't step off that position. You can't do what is required by the NLRB and that us negotiate in good faith. How do you plan in acquiring a contract with that road block you set up in your way?
USAPA has won a permanent injunction against this pilot group in favor of the company holding us down for any action if needed. The mediation board has walked away from us, Southwest has threatened to leave CAPPA if USAPA stays in. We placed the liability of the NIC right on our shoulders therefore no other national union will ever take on that liability freezing us from affiliation. In fact USAPA is labeled as a raider union and will never have AFL-CIO affiliation.

Explain how we win the day? You state that natural attrition will help ease our pain. The attrition you speak of was protected by the leadership of Jack Stephan, the work of Don Iorio, Garland Jones and myself along with many unspoken pilots who worked for this pilot group. Don't ever take credit for the work of others. By your raiding our work was never completed and the price this group paid was to high. Also please note that two of the pilots Garland and myself are excluded from your constitution and by laws requiring date of hire, but we did the right thing in protecting our pilot group, unfortunately that included you.
Bradford you played your hand and unfortunately for all of us you lost. Go away.

All is well. Most of the mailing list came back but I'm to lazy to update. And I really know how to spell Stephan, sorry Magoo. The nic is not dead and unfortunately that does not matter any longer. In fact I don't believe I mentioned the nic in my letter I only asked how do you (Bradford) win the day with all the restrictions placed on the negotiation process? Simply can't be done Mark. You will never have a majority to carry the deal. In fact as time goes by the east will become smaller and the west will hold the numbers, any new hires will not care about the Nic only looking for a contract and will side with any group that can deliver it. Now when you negotiate a seniority list in the body of a contract then it becomes amenable. Once that is established that list will be negotiated at every contract, once the east can't hold the numbers that list will change according to those in power. In fact correct me if I'm wrong, were you not on the MEC when Nic was chosen? Did you not realize then that Nic 2 would probably reflect Nic 1? Mark, or are you just upset because you left Eastern and now God forbid you change any list according to your well thought out constitution and now those Eastern Shuttle guys move ahead of you, and to think if you just stayed at Eastern. So is it personal or professional in your opinion? Are you willing to put this entire pilot group at risk because of something personal?
To make this easy if all parties agree anything can be renegotiated. Follow your constitution and by laws. With your line of thought then the nic can never be changed.
Mark, we have no contract, a court injunction against us, still living under loa 93 minus the raise we believe we get every May. We lost the loa 93 battle in court. The mediator walked away from us, CAPPA is re thinking us, section 29 letters go out to this pilot group at an alarming rate, do you really want me to continue? How can you call that a win?
Mark, no I will never join you and the way you allow scabs to rule in your union, I don't consider anything I do now or in the future harmful to me. Why would I join you when its just a matter of time when you guys screw up again and this pilot group will have to pay the damages from their wallet?
Once last thing, ask Bradford about the meeting I had with him on a Phx overnight almost 4 years ago then get back to me on that integrity remark.
Thank you for explaining to me how we won. I need some time now to figure out my vacation, but its still at 21 days. Ya know I don't have time for that because I think I'm flexed to 95 hours so I need to work, oh yes my paycheck, you think the post office would cut USAIrways some slack since it is so light, Ya know I just can't seem to find my Steeler lanyard I remember something about that, but hey thanks for the reflective vest in the cockpit for the walk arounds, now that holds some meaning. Good win my friend, good win. 90 days to a contract eh.

I have seen enough of ALPA to not pass on the possibility of union/management collaboration, planned or accidental.
