US Pilots Labor Discussion

Just look at whats going on in the industry. We see mega mergers happening and two in 2010 alone with UAL and SWA making big plays. USworthless is being left behind without so much as a second thought. The airline industry would love nothing more than for this place to tank and we are getting very close to that happening. This place is NOT a major player in the international market and we certainly dont dominate the domestic arena. We are being squeezed by on in every market and soon will lose our foot hold on Hawaii to SWA as well.

I say to the east if you want to really see liquidation this time and be assured that no carrier will come to the rescue just keep it up. The walls are closing in for real and usair WILL FAIL regardless of what you think you may know. This mess with usapa is now just about saving face and for us its about the principle of the matter. Its time to wake up folks before we sleep right past our show time and we all get cancelled!!!

I hate to speak for everyone in the east, but the pilots in the east that I've talked to would rather see this place go T.U.

rather than deal with the nic. The east will go to AA of someone else and the west will go to....who cares. USAPA First

More big talk and false bravado.

If USAirways is ultimately broken up in bankruptcy, it will be the assets that go with the transaction, not the pilots.

And if the East did go to AA you would go from an A330 F/O to the right seat of a Super 80 or 737, in worse shape than you would have been if you had accepted the Nicolau Award 3 years ago.

Perhaps some of the East pilots would find employment in Asia or the Middle East but at what price to your families?

You certainly don't speak for everyone on the East, just the pathological USAPA shills. Last time I checked, putting USAPA first hasn't increased my W-2 earnings in the past 3 years and they certainly won't be issuing USAPA paychecks to the pilots if USAirways ceases operations.

Will MC get to keep the Taurus when USAPA close it's doors?

Please explain how you attained your seniority with Usairways thus far.

Your wages have not increased due to the color and pattern of the underwear you prefer to wear, pink and frilly.

I'm just loooking out for your best interest there Nostro. Since you're going to retire from here as an F/O either way, you might as well make a few more dollars and have a better schedule.

Merry Christmas!

What? It's about to tank..? Why?

I thought you have been telling the East pilots about hundreds of millions of dollars that we have cost all the pilots on both sides because we didn't accepted the Nic and allow the company to shower us with untold new contract gains approaching the legends of Valhalla.

Your propensity for self-loathing seems to be irrationally projected on a group that you maintain has saved the company untold millions while at the same time you think it is about to cause the company to tank.

How much nog did you mix in with your egg?

Merry Christmas!

You were hired by PSA and came here and given date of hire riding the coattails of men. You obviously never had to fight for anything in your life, so it easy for you to pursue the affections of the west so you can be at a base closer to home and liked.

You are a pathetic individual sir and in my humble opinion, have not contributed to a better contract in any way with our negotiations with the company thus far.

Pray tell, eminent naysayer, what exactly have YOU personally done to speed things up and contribute to a better contract?

I pay my dues, and have the privelege of casting a vote when the time comes. Who knows, when that time does come it may well be a majority vote.

Maybe some day you can ride my coattails, if not my frilly's!

Dream a little dream. Just because you dodged a bullet last time do not expect that to happen again. If us air goes TU I seriously doubt that anyone will step in this time. The industry is trying to shrink. Getting rid of 8% of the market would be a boom for everyone.

If this place goes, what few assets are left go to the leasor and the employees go look for another job.

Now boys and girls when UAL,DAL or AA get a stack of apps who do you think they are going to hire? A younger west guy that has been honest in our dealings or a self admitted angry old guy that failed to live up to their word? Integrity matters. The industry knows about usapa and it's supporters.

They get the greenlight to renege on arbitration. Don't like the contract terms the company comes up with, go to arbitration, don't like the arbitration results, form new union.
Once again, confusing apples and oranges. An arb between the company and union - everyone knows forming a new union won't help. An arb between two union groups trying to figure out what to present to the company? Different animal altogether.
I agree that all future mergers will have McCaskill-Bond to help them through the process.

Gladly,

The company I work for merged with USAirways, calling for the merging of our combined seniority. My status within my seperate list was combined in a joint list, that used a method that would approximately carry my status to the new list.

Seems resonable to me.

Then its TU partner!! I got 21 years left you DONT! its the principle of the matter now. The west will not go down as the group who just laid down and allow the most underhanded tactic in all of aviation to take place on our watch and against us. We played by the rules and you lost so tits up homie, you will be the clown!

Did I ask you that question? No I did not. You jump on here and take my quote out of context. Gutless.

So if McCaskill-Bond had produced the Nicolau list would we be having this argument? Would you east guys have accepted the Nicolau if it was done by M/B?

I asked and never got an answer. Is the 190 arbitration still valid?
