US Pilots Labor Discussion

The same solution we have had for the past 3 year - a card drive to dissolve USAPA. If the west pilots wanted to eliminate this scourge, they would set up an office in each east coast base and push hard for a representation election. Collect the cards and flush (not reform) USAPA once and for all.

To be honest I expected a card drive before now. Where is it?

I know the guys in the alpa drive camp. Alpa told them thanks but no thanks, just like the teamsters. Besides I don't think the east will ever give up usapa, the next merger will take care of it

Really! I don't think that there's a majority on either side for eliminating union representation - dissolving USAPA as it were. There may be a few willing to be at will employees, but probably very few. As for replacing USAPA, with who? Enough on the east blame "ALPA" for all their woes to prevent bringing it back. The "Reform USAPA" group probably has the most practical idea but recent election events demonstrate what a mountain that will be to climb. The west finally got people elected and now there's a movement to unseat them. So much for "Why don't you westies participate and change USAPA from within."

To paraphrase the old saying, the east made this bed and now everyone has to sleep in it.

Junebug. You need the joint contract, and that will definitely not be reality. Face it, like any deal, the longer it sits the more chance it will go south. You guys were warned at Wye, and it came true. APA wants your group as far down as possible. That is reality.
Reality check. APA wants all of us as far down the list as possibly. Not just the west.

If you think that the APA is going to give you east pilots a better deal just because you are east you are delusional. The rest of the industry knows about you east pilots.

Tell me have you guys ever followed through on a deal? As a group you have no credibility.

DOH with the APA is a non starter. Your CoC is worthless. Your scope is our scope unless Parker breaks up the company. Keep dreaming but usapa is going to screw this merger up just like they have everything else.

Allow me to rephrase,

"Michael Cleary is a true American Labor Legend in his own mind". If you define victory as:

Using every legal maneuver known to civilized man to delay the inevitable.

Ensuring that NO ONE gets a raise! (you can argue that the turd bowl deal the F/A's rejected was as poor as it was because US had no idea what would happen with the pilots.)

Putting the entire group east and west in a position that should a merger take place they will be in a position of weakness.

Exposed the East pilot group to some pretty significant financial risk should a DFR suit ever be filed.

Now I only know what I read here as I am not a pilot, however if this debacle is the work of a true American Labor Legend and I were a pilot I'd retire or go fly cargo until retirement age. Gang of idiots sailing a ship of fools.

You say the Nic. is inevitable? How so when it takes the legal act of both parties to agree to it in a contract. Have you been so brain dead you have not seen any move on the eastern side to go for a Nic contract? They want nothing to do with it. They are clearly aware of another transaction coming, one which will not include a ratified joint Nic inclusive deal. There is no time, and if it were presented to the easterrn group, it would meet the same fate as the flgt attend deal. No. I guarantee you a transaction will overtake any timeline the western are counting on for the Nic to be implemented. They played the game too long, USAPA was a streak of genius. Had it been ALPA, the Nic would have been in years ago. Are you that dumb you cannot see that? I guarantee the Nic will NEVER come to pass. There is no time now.
The western cry and wail the formation of USAPA and Cleary was to circumvent the Nic. Well, then if that is true as they state, USAPA and Cleary have done exactly as asked. The western front has clung to a position of unachievable Nic. Now they are in a weakened position with no scope, and separate ops. Makes a transaction that much easier for Parker when he has to deal with DC. It is USAPA and Cleary who have won the battle. The attrition of the eastern and the raises coming in the LOA will quickly nullify andy western advantage by the day. It is happening as we speak. The eastern management is hiring daily. Look at the lists. The raises come in upgrades. There are more 330s coming as well as smaller aircraft. The eastern group can easily make the case the western survive off the eastern viability, and use that in a merger argument. The tide has changed, PHX is a weakened hub, the western have furloughed pilots. CLT is expanding. How are those apples looking before an arbitrator in an APA deal?
The American or Delta dance will soon start, and the Nic is not going to be in any joint contract when the time comes. That , you can take to the bank. It will be a complete re-do between two separate unions, not ALPA. Tick Tock. Cleary and USAPA gamed it beautifully.

Lets see where do I start with this scab?

1. I have a 401k with 1.17 million with 13.5 years left to go...thanks to AWA and my prior airline....what pension do you have there Mr. PBGC?

2. 110lbs???...no, just 163lbs that would kick the living daylights....um..on second thought, I will just let you stay on LOA93 and let natural causes do the work.

3. The whole industry of knows the history of AWA alright, and that history includes buying your defunct airline?? What the entire industry and judicial system also know is to never trust and easthole scab!!

4. I don't have a dog.

PS. Not an F/O...and you are not going to scab my job, any more questions?

Ok, a 163lb POS. You sure about that living daylight threat? Once again, a big mouth behind the computer. Good job with the 401k. I have about 3/4 what you have however, I am a bit younger. I already have the left seat Spanky. I wont even go into the history of who bought who. It already has been proven but idiots like you are blinded by the lottery syndrome. We also know who the scabs of the industry are just keep clicking your heals together and maybe someone will listen. No dog! Oh my, your poor wife. I will look for you in the terminal. You will be easy to spot. The angry F/O stomping his feet and pissing down his leg . Later Westoff Scab. 🙂

The western division posters are starting to realize the PHL group is going to put Paul Music in on a vote driven purely on a stance of killing the Nicolau. Then the work starts to put together a decent contract. Everyone knows the flt attendants deep sixed the contract, because it was a piece of crap. Everyone eastern knows the pilot contract will suck also, the only ones who will bite are the western desperate for the Nic. That is where the game stops. Music goes in, and then any deal DCA can strike with the PHX to capitulate, and that is their intent, will go down in flames. Get ready for Music. He is one intelligent and tough pilot. There is no way he will deal with the western group and the Nic. Get ready for more rough sledding in your sandbox, it is coming. Everyone knows some deal is coming with Parker, and the eastern are great clock killers. You all waited far too long. Your dream has slipped away.

Do it! I wouldn't expect anything less from the dysfunctional East.

BTW, Naugler was dismissed.

"Then the work starts?" Excuse me, but what have you guys been doing for the past 5 years? We're just now going to start?

I don't know Paul Music, but I'm a little concerned because earlier you made it sound like Cleary was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
