US Pilots Labor Discussion

I am sure at least one of these posters or their friends can put a list of politely worded questions for Mr. Parker, that will directly address the issue of whether he can legally impose the Nic with USAPA now the bargaining agent, or does he have to negotiate with USAPA over what system he can use. The one question they should absolutely ask is this- "Mr. Parker, can you legally impose the Nicolau list on the collective USAirways Pilot Seniority list, or do you have to use another method suitable and agreed upon WITH USAPA to come up with an acceptable seniority integration?" Counting on you guys. Here is your big opportunity to put it to rest. But you have to ask nicely and directly.
I still don't think they will. Which one of you "westies" will bring this question to the next road show. We would really like to see you guys ask. I'm surprised ( not really) that no one has come foward yet to take this on.

I was not planning on staying until past 62 but here I am approaching 63 and the oldest pilot on the property. I'm taking it trip to trip, day to day and powerball, megamillions ticket at a time!

Regards,

Bob
Bob,
congrats on your good health. How big is your sick bank? Do the math. If you have 1500 hours, its time to get "not so healthy".
Other words - call in sick for the rest of your career. Get a migrane, back ache, vision problem, incontinence, whatever - get out of that seat. Now. Go home and enjoy the rest of your life.
Logically, it makes sense. Your sick bank will not be cash-able for the $18/hr if you go to 65. Why would you want to do that anyway when you can cash in for your hourly rate? And you retain passes and medical benefits while "sick".
It's been nice, Bob, but not that nice. Time to leave.
Bye.

I think the east sick banks top out at 1000 hours.

From LOA 93:
1. Each pilot’s current sick bank (including reserve) shall be
split into two accounts: a Current Sick Bank and a Reserve
Sick Bank. The Current Sick Bank has a maximum accrual
of 60 hours. The Reserve Sick Bank has a maximum accrual
of 1,440 hours.

Boys, as you approach 63.5, put on your best "I'm not feeling well.." look when you see your AME.
Bye.

Yes, west pilots. please write down a list. And so we can have it down in history, ask Doug if he was planning to use the Nic after USAPA came on the property. Ask it in a historical context, and see if you can get an answer out of him. This will clear up a lot of the rhetoric flying on this board. Ask him if he was BOUND to use the Nic, even with USAPA now the representative entity for the pilots. Thank you.
No takers yet? Come on west pilots, lets' get it out in the open right now with this golden opportunity!

Could it finally be the West pilots have learned to temper their "ambitions" with regard to seniority? Could they finally be learning from the brief their legal team received from The Honorable Judge Neil V. Wake as he called the west legal team filings "ambitious at best?" Guess there will be no questions to clarify from the west pilots in the Team Tempe luv fest. Just more complaints of Mac issues, and scheduling, crew meals and such. Maybe Lyle Hogg will be finally be shown the respect he deserves. After all, he and Bular are actually quite likable fellows.

You mean mindless children throwing a tantrum.

See how far you can walk when 40% of the group don't support you.
Pretty far when the other 60% and ALL of the other labor groups support you as well. Not to mention ALL other labor groups in the US except for the one that doesn't consider itself a labor group, ALPA.

All the other pilot groups despise USAPA.

Do you think the Mechanics or Flight Attendants are going to honor your picket line?

Please save this for posterity traderjake, I will.

Uh Yeah.

By the by, they don't . They ( the other employee groups) (not other pilot groups) follow our lead. Which has been pathetic for the past 20+ years. Will you be a leader or a follower traderjake?

Wrongo.

A select group of ALPAphlies that had their "free lunch" ticket cut off do. I have friends at most other major airlines I socialize with regularly. Most wish their pilot groups had the cajones to form their own union.

ALPA is just a HUGE parasite sucking the life out of the pilot profession.

The major news networks are all talking about USAPA and APA's stand against the new TSA screening procedures for crewmembers. No word from ALPA. I guess they're too concerned about collecting the cash to do something for their members.

ALPA SUX!

Oh, and by the way, I'm sure that the IAM, AFA AND IBT will honor our picketline, because unlike ALPA, we'd honor theirs.

Seems kinda quiet on here. I'm guessing it didn't go as well as they were hoping.
