I don't know who this 'person' is, but I know who WE are and how WE arrived at where WE are today. Long live US Airways, and welcome to OUR Heritage Circle!

Thanks, it is a ??pleasure?? being here! and welcome to OUR Heritage Circle to you.

Now if WE can just get the brand name out of the gutter.

I am interested in a couple of things that you can help me out with.

Did USAirways even have a "Heritage circle" prior to the AWA merger?, and whose legs are in your avitar?

Yes, we had a 'Heritage Circle' prior to the AWA merger; it just was not in the form of a metal wrestling belt buckle.

The Legs belong to an East F/A. (okay, maybe not, dunno)

There have been many mistakes in the course of the AWA aquisition of USAirways, but the single biggest mistake was retaining the name.

It has given the former AA employees the mistaken belief that somehow AWA was just added to their airline, and a lack of understanding as to why and how things needed to change, and what exactly transpired. Why on earth would an east F/A ask Kirby in the CLT crew news a few months back, (paraphrase), since there is all this animosity between the east and west pilots, can't we just sell off that little ol' West operation? Kirby did an okay job of explaining that it would be like "trying to split out Piedmont", but what was evident was this person had absolutely no clue as to who we are and how we (the entire airline) arrived at where we are today.

Had the powers that be went to Madison Avenue, came up with a campaign, and launched an entirely new brand, many of the troubles we see now would be near non-existent.

There certainly is value to the USAirways brand name, but it is not Coca-Cola for pete's sake. It should have been abandoned, in favor of something fresh. Since it was not, we are saddled with the same tired, losing mentality that got the east in trouble in the first place, and the quoted post highlights this fact.

Solution? There may not be one, the USAirways brand may be a lost cause. But, I would suggest that Tempe start educating all employees with a new emphasis on exactly what the plan is for the brand name. How it differs from the past and the individual airlines to which we were hired. What being a LCC truely means on an individual basis.
So now you want to name the airline MESA GRANDE ? MM!

Thanks, there may have been some east pilots who did not get a copy, but can read it here.

Perhaps you would like to enlighten us all on any facts contained in the brochure that you question.

Further, perhaps you could offer some evidence that any addresses were obtained "illegally".

If not, it becomes aparent both you and biggie smalls have no idea what you are talking about.

Sue away, be sure to use Seham and usapa for cover.

PS. I ask because I really do not know. Does anyone know if would be illegal to start a card drive and send the cards directly to eligible individuals home addresses, say after usapa loses the loa93 arbitration?
Why wait to send those cards, no time like the present! MM!

Luv that brochure, notice they only talk about 2 years of retirements and flat out lie about being weeks from a contract, well maybe that wasn.t a lie if you consider 500 weeks as weeks away! what a joke! MM!

Having been in more than one lawsuit I immediately come up with two questions. First, proving the list was obtained illegally will be a chore. Second, what are your damages? Even if you win (one of my lawsuits took 7 years to "win") you will be surprised on what a court considers your damages to be. What irreparable harm came to you over this?
I am amused over people who always claim they are going to sue at a moments notice. I know that they have never been through a lawsuit before.

You Damm right it's illegal, can't wait to collect on that law suit......

I don't know what to say after reading this post. But I do have one question:
Have you always been on the "bus"?

I know there is a lot of denial and revisionist history going on out west - but it seems you guys are flying more and more flights from our despicable East Coast route structure - the ones that are vastly inferior and less profitable than the one's AWA flew. Can I get an AWA AMEN?

Guess that is why we reduced our schedule and flight hours to transfer that 25% of flying our West - you know so you Titan's of industry can show us how it's done out West because that's how the West rolls.

If the possibility of selling or splitting the East/West had a snow balls chance in hell in putting any more coin in the executives pockets out West - This would be THE preferred business plan, rather than actually having to run an airline.

Posts like this clearly define why we face the problems we do.
Acquired. That's funny. Well if that's the case - since we are passing out blame- guess where the blame falls this time?
And just to be clear, I was referring to the "short yellow bus" that transports school children and not the Airbus aircraft. Good luck- I think we all are going to need it.

Which part of my post bothered you more, the truth or the facts?

Revisionist history out West? There is a laugh. Seriously, 25% now? hmmm...did the east layoff 25% of its employees in order to make that transfer? Of course not, again, your head is in the sand and you do not know what you are talking about, even at your own airline.

Seriously, what was the east told prior to the merger? Were you told you were aquiring AWA, merging with AWA, being bought by AWA, what? The West was told in no uncertain terms that AWA was aquiring USAirways, and it was quote, " the right thing to do." Were you even told anything?

Still on the "bus"......and as far as the old USAirways was concerned, it was the essential "bus".

Hahahahahaahahahah I cant stop laughing at this. You guys are too damn funny. I guess you will be filing suits against the mass mailing companies as well that provide you and your family all the pizza coupons too huh. OMG you guys too amusing not be let out of your cages...

None of this matters. None. You could go on about China being a country that was powered by water buffalo and rickshaws. Look at it now. Nuclear capable, building 98% of the stuff you use around the house, around the world. That is the east today. You took a snapshot of us at one little point in time that is long swept away. We are again, making most of the profit for this airline. Learn to deal with us, or be left behind. We are hiring, and moving ahead. Nobody cares about those arguments, because they could have been made with America West many times too. You are going to try and do it again, and it won't work. It is that simple. By the way, welcome back. We missed you guys! 🙂

Youre way off there buddy!!! You see I was a sitting rep at the time so I know where we were in terms of presenting to the pilots a contract. YOUR EAST reps hosed you again and wouldn't allow it. THE EAST, they did have JNC members that aided in putting together the proposal that you should have seen but didnt and yes it was weeks away!!
