US Pilots Labor Discussion

THAT is without question one of the most asinine statements I've ever read on this board. It is right up there with the idiots that deny jumpseat. No one should be "carrying" anything anyway. If it's broken, you get it fixed by qualified personel...period.

What's next? We going to turn each other in for forgetting the beacon on the Shutdown Flow?

Is this not what i was implying...?
Stop trying to read between the lines, this is not a spy novel, just a simple statement, with the intent coming straight from the front of the MEL book.

Read it sometime, its an eye opener....

I didnt say, nor infer anyone should write someone up....just write up the appropriatte things as the MEL dictates....

Sounds to me like a threat to those "not on board"

Since east/west is not flying together here is an east pilot threatening east crews. Same play book. Intimidation to get cooperation because the ideas lack merit or support.

Keep wearing the yellow coward band.
The four CLT pilots called into the chief pilots office were busted for performing an illegal job action. They're criminals and should be fired. Illegal activity should never be tolerated at an airline. There is no room for criminals and thieves.

And your proof of this is what...the idiotic rhetoric on these boards?

Rumor control has been a bit slow getting this story out. What illegal activity did these pilots allegedly perform?

Please enlighten us as to what they were charged with doing

USAPA will be alowed, due to the freedom of information act, to access any and all usairways logbooks and mtc. writeups...

Freedom Of Information, eh? Are you referring to the Act that permits the inspection of government documents unless the government can show cause for access to them to be restricted? Is that the one you're referring to , or do you just not know?

The logbooks and maintenance records are the private property of USAirways and their leinholders or lessors.

Sorry, USAPA, you're going to have to ask "pretty please" to look at anything, before you're told to go jump in a tree chipper.

I think Metro may be using the absurd to point out the absurd. After all, usapa acolytes have no problem slinging that stuff about the west, ie. Rico and identity theft. Just a guess. I hope that's the case anyway, because I don't agree with that post if it is meant literally.

Really! Backing off on your statement.

.....Carry your MTC issues at your own expense, the next crew might see it otherwise.....HHMMM food for thought....?

What "expense" are you talking about? Who might see what otherwise?

No reading between the lines. You said openly that the next crew may cost you if you are not "on board". Threats and intimidation, typical east behavior.

Heard your little check in game the other day. Checking in "on board" really is that all you guys can come up with? Radio games?

West Reps are Felons and Thieves right? Isn't that what Kim Jong Cleary shouted incoherently to the police he called to have the Elected reps removed? Felons?!!

What an idiot. In USAPA world those 4 pilots are heros, if they were West, they'd be criminals.

Aw, c'mon we made room for 'em to take over the pilot's union and then are forced to pay them more than they could ever earn out on the line.

But let's talk about illegal job actions. Management asked for its DJ because it feared the possibility of a work stoppage by the east. How does management think this would manifest itself?

We know that the NMB would never allow USAPA to strike based on their past behavior, so a legal strike can be ruled out.

A wildcat strike? With the only vocal support coming from less than a dozen people on this board and assuming there may be another dozen posters on another dozen boards (and how many of them are out on medicals and bored), there isn't any clear evidence of overwhelming support for such a job action.

Anyone foolish enough to try their own one-man CHAOS would quickly be dealt with and under fear of legal damage$, USAPA would distance themselves from such an individual. Or at least they should.

In fact, USAPA has burned so many bridges with both their own supporters (ref: Bradford bruhaha) that they do not have the credibility and loyalty necessary to pull of the type of clandestine planning that CHAOS demands, so that is practically a non-starter.

Safety campaign as a work-stoppage? Well, we're seeing how poorly that's playing out.

So, does management really have anything to fear by standing up to USAPA and declaring that they will not accept any other seniority proposal than the Nicolau list? Is see no evidence that they do.

But they do have reason to fear the same type of lawsuit as Addington, which was affirmed by a jury, albeit a bit too early.

Do they fear the rhetoric or the proven?

Do you know even ONE of these Captains? I'm sure you don't. Who are you to judge? You're doing exactly what you've accused USAPA of. I hope you are proud of yourself. I know three of them. Fine men, fine Captains and each giving 100%. That is what is required of us right? 100%. NOT 101%. We move the metal from A to B. We don't do other people's jobs and if the equipment isn't perfect, it stays right where it is. I would not condone an illegal job action. I won't intentionally run late. I WILL do my job as prescribed by the FARs and FOM and then I am going to GO HOME.

There is nothing you or anyone else can do about it. This pilot group works within the confines of the CBA. The company does NOT, as evidenced by the number of grievances. Who is the greater evil here?

What's there to know? They slow down, screw with the operation all at the behest of your fake union. That's stealing from the company. That makes them criminals and thieves. Fire them.
