US Pilots Labor Discussion

Okay Metro, I get it. But in the future you should utilize a tongue-in-cheek emoticon, otherwise we waste a couple of hours and several pages worth of WTF responses.

Your density is not my problem....actually it is. Strike that.
Roger that! I knew exactly what you were up to from the start. They don't even realize when they're being taught a good old fashioned lesson with a taste of their own medicine. Then they still want to blame you for not being more clear. Always the fault of someone else. Same old story with them.

So Clowns, any guesses at which one of yours is the only pilot in history to get his medical back after a bipolar diagnosis?

Right, and about a third of those hitting 65 are in the right seat on the East assuming static fleets, which is pretty much a guarantee with the Western world economies imploding.

In the first 5 years of age 65 retirements on the US Airways East list, 1020 pilots retire. 360 pilots are in the top 500, 600 pilots in the top 1000 and 775 in the top half.

So 36% of the retirements are in the top 500, 60% in the top 1000, and 77% in the top half of their list and with the Western world economies imploding as you say, you just make the case for them putting a premium on their seniority and their years of contribution and sacrifice.

I guess I should have used a smiley face emoticon. Pretend I did. Don't you feel stupid now?

BTW, how's the SLI going?

Metroyet, this is a perfect example of why this message board is so entertainingly addictive and such a waste of time all at once. Maybe next you can tell what should happen to USAir pilots that don't still polish their ALPA pin.
So for you it's addictive entertainment, but for others a pursuit of attention or obsession. Got it.

By the way, looks like Jet Blue pilots may soon be polishing their ALPA pins.

Bular ? hogg ? morell ? skinner ? hmmmmm, no ? ahhhh, got it ! the clown of all clowns......fodase himself. He (she) doesn't know it yet.

Btw, how is sep ops (DOH) working for you ?

It's not going. Can't start until AFTER a JCBA. Lesson learned from your debacle. Try to keep up.

But don't worry, once a JCBA is in, I assure you there will be no DOH.

You got that right. Debacle - noun - utter failure or disaster. Here's another thing I hope you learn, don't make a list that puts a 17 year veteran below a new hire on probation. Catastrophe.

Wow,
To all, my sincerest apologies for my lack of ability to express my thoughts.

I never meant nor would condone the outing or intimidating another crewmember.

Im sorry i seem to have infered that.....

I was slapped accordingly by several on these boards, i stand corrected....

Ok, thanks, I will take your word for it.

I don't expect our furloughed pilots to be put ahead of ANY CO pilots that had a job at the time of our merger. (Even with double the years.)

I also don't expect to be ahead of other 767 f/o's who have less LOS at CO than I have at UA.

I also don't expect my DOH to give me 757 Captain seniority next to a CO pilot of my same DOH.

It is what it is, and the rising tide of this merger is beneficial to us all, regardless of how the SLI works out. I'm OK with the final outcome, even if it goes to binding arbitration. But that's just me. IMO real men will bargain their best case, keep their representatives accountable and in control, and accept whatever outcome results from those efforts, regardless of whether or not I like it. We reap what we sow.

You've got 15 EMB-190s plus the three ATA 757s that can go away tomorrow. Eliminate those jobs (likely in the even more severe second dip we're entering) and recalculate. You'll be at at least a third retiring from the right seat, and 100% on LOA93.

Enjoy LOA93 and the re-downgrades

According to the unemployment data released this morning, the economy added only 54,000 jobs, pushing the unemployment rate up to 9.1 percent. However, this report from MarketWatch suggests the data is much worse than that:

McDonald’s ran a big hiring day on April 19 — after the Labor Department’s April survey for the payrolls report was conducted — in which 62,000 jobs were added. That’s not a net number, of course, and seasonal adjustment will reduce the Hamburglar impact on payrolls. (In simpler terms — restaurants always staff up for the summer; the Labor Department makes allowance for this effect.) Morgan Stanley estimates McDonald’s hiring will boost the overall number by 25,000 to 30,000. The Labor Department won’t detail an exact McDonald’s figure — they won’t identify any company they survey — but there will be data in the report to give a rough estimate.
