Have you not received AB321's? Or did I imagine that?
Primarily as replacement aircraft for out-going 737s. Any other things you might have imagined?
Have you not received AB321's? Or did I imagine that?
I'd be happy to verify that as a FACT.Based on past merger attempts United and Delta pilots don't seem to agree with you.
Ames,
When the old man put 5 week new hires ahead of 17 year never furloughed guys you had to know it was going to be a disaster! The average age in the east is 59 years old. Most of us have experienced the ups and downs of this industry. Most pilots in this industry would love to merge with the oldest pilot group in this country. Attrition in the east has arrived. There is nothing to stop it. The east is hiring 22 pilots a month. We are so short staffed in the east.......this summer is becoming a challenge. Some day the west pilots will look back and see that you guys made some tactical errors. Every east new hire will always vote with the east pilots for separate ops. They will see the attrition and the massive move up the list on a monthly basis. They will upgrade to Captain with separate operations very quickly. When Kasher comes in it is game over. Personally, I hope Lakefield works another deal that splits this abortion of a merger up. This place will never be right! Nicolau did not do any of us any favors.

The truth of the matter is, had we not "merged" US Airways would have liquidated and AWA would have grown into the markets abandoned by your "once great airline". While you would have stood in your rightful place on the unemployment line ALL of the upgrades from our growing company would have gone to AWA pilots.
The difference between our two groups is that, despite what I said above, we did "merge" and the AWA pilots are willing to share all subsequent growth while east pilots want to hoard it all for themselves. You have gotten all of the new 757's, 330's and 190's. What have we gotten?
You are hiring now. We have guys on furlough. WTFO?
Breakups do happen.

Not very credible or capable with Parker and gangAWA would have grown into the markets abandoned by your "once great airline". While you would have stood in your rightful place on the unemployment line ALL of the upgrades from our growing company would have gone to AWA pilots.
John John is right on. Then west will go away soon....Go mess up somebody else's airline. You wore out your welcome here.
Emotions within their ranks are mixed because of a controversial rewriting of the seniority list among pilots that affects their pay and scheduling.Breakups do happen.

Because of "Would have Liquidated" but did not liquidate, you apparently think you are owed leap frog status. Because we "would have been unemployed" but are not, you believe we should in effect pay you, for what? What is it that you gave so we could continue. So the "would have and should have" never occurred by virtue of a real event as opposed to an imaginary event. Let me get this straight. You believe your group deserves special status by virtue of a hypothetical, okay but what did you give us for this special status. Your group like ours had no say in the Corporate transaction. Go to the bank and tell them that in 2015 you will be making more than now and see if the loan amount is based on your current W-2 our your hypothetical 2015 W-2. USAirways did not liquidate and we are still employed...The truth of the matter is, had we not "merged" US Airways would have liquidated and AWA would have grown into the markets abandoned by your "once great airline".
