Second verse, same as the first: ITS NOT FAIR.

We will look back on this as an event in the AWA pilot's careers where we proudly stood up against a snaggled toothed school yard bully that tried to cheat us. The courts will finish this. Then you can tell me how unfair life is on our trip to Madrid. I'll try to console you and buy you a cafe' & cookie. I'll get to hear you cry all the way back to PHL or CLT. Eventually you will retire, and I will get someone more pleasant & upbeat. Then it will be a great time.

When Kasher comes in....you're right GAME OVER (did you see the crew news where Doug said that we slept soundly EVERY NIGHT, knowing just which way that decision would go?).

You state that Nicolau didn't do you any favors, but I assure you that America West Holdings did. You should be humbled and thankful that you still have a pay check every two weeks.

Don't be Hatin'....just be glad.

We did not get all the 757s. You just got one I believe and we didn't get enough to cover the ones they gave back to the leasors. 190s were the source of a successful arbitration. And even with the A330-200s we are still at min fleet count. No different than you getting a steady stream of new A320 family aircraft to cover the 320s and 737s you are losing.

Those are facts. Not opinions.

Take one sure fact from my post. You averted your rightful position on the unemployment line. Parker can say whatever he wants to in order to placate the eastholes. We all know that he is afraid you will all go postal and wreck his airline. If he weren't so sure your potential for meltdown would occur we would be through this mess by now.

We did just get another 757. Got rid of three, however.

Also, had Airways gone away there is no way AWA would have had troubles. That event would have been good for the whole industry and there are few people outside of the eastholes who don't agree with that. Everyone wishes you had gone away, especially AWA personnel.

As for the rest I won't bicker about fleet counts but you have to agree that replacing 737 with a 330 gives you more bodies, ie augmented crews.
 
Because of "Would have Liquidated" but did not liquidate, you apparently think you are owed leap frog status. Because we "would have been unemployed" but are not, you believe we should in effect pay you, for what? What is it that you gave so we could continue. So the "would have and should have" never occurred by virtue of a real event as opposed to an imaginary event. Let me get this straight. You believe your group deserves special status by virtue of a hypothetical, okay but what did you give us for this special status. Your group like ours had no say in the Corporate transaction. Go to the bank and tell them that in 2015 you will be making more than now and see if the loan amount is based on your current W-2 our your hypothetical 2015 W-2. USAirways did not liquidate and we are still employed...

Your entire post is total bullshit. You claim to know what I believe but, again, bullshit. We "merged". We followed a process. The "merger" saved your job. The process assured you a position of similar relative seniority (provided you weren't on furlough) on a combined list.

AWA pilots accept this (although had your illustrious airline gone away we would be much better off). East pilots rant and rave and cry "unfair" and don't even consider thanking God almighty that they averted their rightful place on the unemployment line.

Really? Were you there when he said that? Could you POSSIBLY be taking a statement out of context? Oh, no, and easthole would never do that.

"Breaking News: An off duty US Airways pilot, Jeff Ahern, was arrested last night for aggravated assault at his layover hotel. The pilot was drinking at the bar when a fight broke out over the order sequence of the beers he was being served.

A witness said was that Ahern "was having a Bud at the bar, telling flying stories with his hands and stuff, when the pilot dude suddenly went berserk." A hotel management employee who asked not to be identified because he did not have authority to speak on this matter told Internet News that it got ugly when Ahern figured out that the first Bud that the bartender had served him had a newer Born-On-Date than the subsequent nine Buds he had been drinking.

The witness said Ahern started yelling about Born-On-Dates that are printed right on the bottle labels. "The dude was raging about this younger beer going first," said one witness, "everyone was looking at him like he was crazy."

The victim told police that the assault began immediately after the bartender told Ahern, in response to his questions about the Budwiser Born-On-Dates that, "Nic said it didn't matter." That's when Ahern apparently assaulted the bartender while screaming, "Nic is dead, Nic is dead!"

Hotel representatives released a statement identifying "Nic" as the Food and Beverage Service manager for the hotel. They did not know why Ahern wanted him dead or why an out of sequence Born-On-Date on a bottle of beer would make the patron so upset. "When it comes to drinking and enjoying cold bottles of beer vs. their Born-On-Date, it's all relative," the employee said.

Contacted at home, a person who identified himself as Nic said he could not understand the big deal or why it would lead an elderly US Airways pilot to assault one of his employees. "Even Anheuser-Busch has said that its Born-On-Date campaign was a gimmick and had no basis for which it's claims about the Bud experience were made."

Anheuser-Busch dropped it's Born-On-Date campaign last year at the urging of its still sober drinkers."
