So....who owns the appeals board???

Grievence time for West pilots.....first order of bussiness....grievences against Cleary (no 90 days vacation for Mike) Mowery (you better come up with a laptop or your going to jail, and maybe still are if Seeham joins the fun) Hummel ( I got your peacemaker right here) Bradford ( oops..i should not have said those things on video tape)

I got to agree with you Breeze....the West pilots had no chance in the usapa election.

Again, I hate that Cleary hijacked the new union, very unfortunate. At least there will be some balance with the appeals board positions. Hopefully things will start to inch forward.

No one will know until a tentative is put out for a vote, but I'd be surprised if a decent contract containing the Nic wouldn't pass. Just look at the number of easties posting here that are talking about a "solution to this mess" compared to a couple of years ago when no eastie was uttering those words. I see the same on other forums. If Silver rules that it would be a DFR not to use the Nic, I think a lot of fence sitters would be ready to get a contract.

Jim

Yea Sherlock you just have to hope that for every one here who just "wants a solution" there are 500 hundred not on these boards who feel the same way

NICDOA
NPJB.

Then there are a whole bunch of smiling highly motivated happy "scabs" walking around the terminals, crew rooms and training center. Withabout 300=350 by the end of next year. Pal your crap is old, unimaginative and just plain sad.

Get used to your lot in like. Wherever you are you will be for years....in the meantime....well see above message!!!!!

NICDOA
NPJB

Not following you Barrister.

Are you calling the newhires "happy scabs"?

You do realize the newhires will move up just as quick with the combined attrition and the Nic and a combined fleet, as they would suffering along on LOA93 with the rest of you "happy scabs".

BTW...I was a lineholding captain well prior to the merger, still am, and will be for "years", and no you cannot scab my job.

I appreciate your sentiment, but,,,,BIG BUT, Cleary did not "hijack" usapa. He was voted in!!

I have been posting on what a loser piece of dog doo jerk he is since he stood up in the crewnews and accused Parker of furloughing as a negotiating tactic. Something he got called out for on the spot by and east pilot. this was when he was vice-pres or whatever. So he then got elected by the east that was fully aware and informed of his motivations and tactics.

The thing is about the appeals board is.....every West pilot on it has the integrity to do the job for the betterment and benefit of usapa.....and all three will. They won't F around with the office, that is just me pulling the threads chain. So, there might be some movement forward. Like I said before...I know east pilots voted for the West appeals board candidates. However, that was only the very few who bothered to have a clue and not just vote along the east party line.

Yeah....you guys just listen to Move....he is clairvoyant, ya know! And he can see all, just the same way the West pilots thought they had a chance in the USAPA election.

He is just yanking you chains.....that's all he knows how to do.

breeze
You seem to gobble up everything I say breeze.

And you guys won't be on LOA93 much longer. Merger contract with Nic will move us forward.

LOL...there aren't nearly enough east pilots for that ratio to work...you'd need 10,000 or so...

Jim

perhaps you're right but then again I suspect the average east pilot might say the same thing about talking to a west pilot.

I do think you're putting way to much stock in this merger ever happening in the first place and if it did it certainly will not go very fast.
Right now, if I had to bet, I'd bet on it happening.

Call it an 80% chance.

If AA wants to keep up with UAL and DAL, they can't do it on their own.

I expect something announced within a year if not by the end of this year.

And they want the East right up where they are now, with no Nic. They want nothing to do with putting a younger West group above anyone as they look at the attrition. They want you on the bottom, or DOH in a new seniority list, which will have to be done seeing the Nic never came to pass. Then, when they park all those MD 80 s, you can bear the brunt of the layoffs. You kids never should have hung yourselves out on the Nic, it will never happen and will enable AA to go ahead with their plans with you with no scope. This thing gets more dangerous by the minute for the West. Move2 is practically begging

If it has the same odds as you Moving 2 CLT, well let's say it just doesn t look too good. After all, even puny USAPA stopped the U Haul long, long ago. Someone said it was laying in it's side somewhere in Kansas, rusting and missing wheels

Please tell me why you bet it is happening ? IMO it will not happen until the contracts are in order. When do you see that happening ?

Sure I willl say "it"....I'll say "it" right now.

The newhires are in the precarious position of having to work directly with the scabs, knowing full well the person they are sitting next to could just as easily be a West pilot, and the huge difference would be a better pay check and work rules.

Now go make another empty promise to a newhire about how they can have it all when you are done with "it".
The new guys know that in short order the seat to the left will be theirs due to attrition, trumping any fictional pay increase for the seat they hold now.
Cheers.

Where do you come up with this delusional thoughts? What possible reason would AA want to use DOH? We have seen how AA treated a smaller, older, longer DOH, under paid pilot group before. They sure did not offer DOH they stapled them. I think the AA contract says staple. Do you expect AA to ignore their contract so the east can make up for your poor careers on the backs of AA pilots?

M/B will not allow a staple so that means arbitration. Have any of the last several pilots seniority arbitrations gone DOH? Even a negotiated settlement between SWA/air tran use DOH?

AA pilots don't want you "right up there" not for 5 years, not for 5 minutes. What makes you think that AA is going to treat the east pilots better than the west pilots? That they somehow want to give the east DOH and staple the west? News flash they want us all at the bottom.

Now using usapa logic that the majority dictates seniority. How do you think that is going to work out? You guys are never going to figure this out if you do not have the ability to see the other sides point of view. You need to stop projecting your desires on other people. AA has 2000 furloughs. They would rather bring them back than put east pilots at the top of their list.

What is usapa going to say during the arbitration when AA tells the arbitrator. But sir our 2000 furloughed pilots some hired in 1999 should get credit for their DOH. Even usapa agrees. Look at the official comm they have put out. How do you argue against that and not look like total hypocrites?

No AA does not want you to have DOH, they want us all at the bottom. They will settle for the Nicolau ratioed in with their list and fences around their wide bodies.

What has puny usapa stopped? A contract? Any chance of unity between the pilot groups? Building any trust? Gaining any respect from FAA, CAPA, IBT, ALPA, other pilot groups, lawyers, management, the press, the public or west pilots?

No it is usapa van down by the river that is laying on it's side rusting.

I gave my timeline at 12 mos.

The contracts will be a part of the merger deal just like that would have been with UAL. You don't have to have the contracts settled prior to this happening.

Our long term outlook, as well as AAs, is dim. This merger would put us on the same footing as the big two.
