Read more coverage of American Airlines and view a timeline of the company’s history in Tulsa.

It is so obvious that the International wanted their legal fees paid to save them millions of $$$$. So in turn they knew that Tulsa and only Tulsa could be persuaded with lies and fears and possible bribes to pass this deal. Again the International only looks out for themselves.
More appointed local 514 reps on their way to the International.

Oh Hewitt forgot to mention during his meetings that there was AMTs that could bump into Tulsa. But now he remembers.

And suddenly, the tone towards the agreement changes.

Someone needs to challenge the voting results.

Something smells fishy and there is wrong written all over the TWU's actions regarding the balloting.

So basically you decided to live in fear for six years never knowing when the company will decide to wield this company contract. Six years of knowing YOU caved to fear and lies by the twu and company.

The pilots have NO RESPECT for management and said so with their no vote. YOU on the other hand agree with management/union and will travel the world on your knees; with a paper bag on your head.

This is not a personal attack simply an observation from your admitted yes vote.
This t/a was apparently voted in but what will be perfectly clear is the twu getting voted out.

Ken do you ever get tired of being Wrong, your always making predictions but there never right, guess your a SLOW learner. ;-)
Just get use to how things are & stop whining about it, to recap we have a contract for 6 to 8 years & the TWU will be here forever because the line & overhaul will never agree on ANYTHING.
If you don't like how things are then quit & go work somewhere else because the rest of us have NO interest in following you, that includes many of the line station Mechanics after all more than a thousand of them voted for this contract too & hundreds of Line Mechanics have signed Teamster cards.
Your just a sore Loser.

Amazing! You try to speak for the "rest of us" just like Raptorman49 was doing. Are you two related in some way?

Enjoy your gloating as it will be short lived.
After the hefty TUL layoffs and early outs, you may have to seek help from Supreme Court because your rights as a minority group are being ignored and violated.

Enjoy it while it lasts.......Nothing lasts forever....even the TWU!

BTW...This isn't just about OH vs Line....
Where was TULSA's compassion towards AFW???????????????

Its not a blame game, its about survival. We know where Tulsa stands as a Unit, we know where the line stands as a Unit. No emotion, no anger, just time to part ways.

Yes 26% of Tulsa voted NO, and I would support language that would ensure that all those guys would have the opportunity to come to the line but the overwhelming majority voted to accept the deal. I respect all those in Tulsa who fight for what is right but the numbers aren't even close, we all did all we could to bring them into the fold and stand up for the profession like the pilots have chosen to do, and 26% did, but 74% didn't and that 74% proved to be insurmountable, Tulsa is a lost cause. Without Tulsa we could easily overcome the lilly livered on the line. We simply cant afford to try and sway the majority at Tulsa anymore, we have to try and seperate ourselves from the effect of the roll call vote and a membership that would reject any deal that would give the line more than Tulsa but accept any deal as long as the line gets screwed too. I dont want to fight with Tulsa, whether its Sam or Hewitt or Carlisle, I want nothing to do with them, let them go their way with a deal they feel is good for them and let us go our way and let each group stand on their own merits.

From where we are sitting Tulsa as a unit is willing to accept any concession as long as they can force the line guys to accept it as well. And as a unit Tulsa pretty much controls the negotiations process (through Roll Call) and the ratification process, their control has been the biggest factor in putting us where we are today.

So we had a FSC out of Tulsa, who as a FSC will stay near the top of the industry compared to his peers push through a deal for Aircraft mechanics that would put Line mechanics at AA at least 20% below industry average and 75% of the mechanicsI in Tulsa supported it. . As a group, why would the guys on the line wish to remain affiliated when doing so causes us such harm? Yes we had guys that didnt vote, yes we had guys that voted Yes, but the overwhelming majority of us on the line voted No.

What do you propose the line guys should try and do? Accept this for another six years and hope that Tulsa will change by 2018?

By the time you get what you want Bob everyone currently at AA will be retired even me & probably you so knock yourself out, looking forward to 6 to 8 years of peace & quiet all this fighting gives me a headache.

It will happen with an early opener in 4 years, not 6-8 years

Who is the rest of us? Your the only one that feels strongly threatened by Ken.

Hundreds of Line mechanics have signed Teamsters cards? Can you prove it?
All I hear from line stations and not from this forum is that the Teamsters can not get in the front door at the line stations. You fear AMFA because you have an interest in the TWU. You support the TWU but yet you do not fear the raid of the Teamsters.
My contacts tell me that all the ex presidents that got voted out are supporting a Teamsters drive. There is more fear of AMFA than the Teamsters. Why is that?

At the end WE will be the losers unless we make changes. Teamsters is not that change. A.M.F.A. and our members who want change will make that difference.
You should feel threatened as every day goes by and more AMFA cards are being filled out. Most of the guys are tired and fed up with the TWU. Ask any AMFA organizer how fast cards are being signed.

Can't wait for your next post on spreading more fear and deceit.

Ok correction MANY of us have NO interest in following Ken especially Men from Tulsa as the 74% vote shows, I believe that it will be shown that many in Tulsa choose not to support AMFA too but hey knock yourself out trying to swim up stream if you want to. ;-)

Would it be too much to ask that we require certified vote results from ballot point showing the vote breakdown before we believe the 74% yea and 26% nay that Sam Cirri claims and hammer on Tulsa?

Why believe him? Why do we not see "CERTIFIED" official results from ballot point?

Something smells very fishy and needs to be challenged.

Then press your point to separate Overhaul from the Line. Teamsters for Overhaul and AMFA for the line. That should make you happy since you favor the Teamsters and work in Tulsa. This way we are all happy. A Win/Win for you and me. Think that will work? Since The TWU is not objecting to the Teamsters raid they should have no issues with them moving into Tulsa. The TWU already proved that they do not care about the line guys. Wow what a great Idea I just came up with.

Try like this.

You have no interest in following Ken, and You choose not to support AMFA.

Why is that so hard for YOU?

This below would be my version of speaking proudly for myself, and confident enough that I don't have to include others to feed any character flaws that reak of insecurities.

I choose to support AMFA, I do not choose to support the TWU or their friends the Teamsters.
I will continue to collect AMFA cards. And in the end, I will remain proud of who I am and what I stand for.

I believe you might just be asking for a tad too much here.
