What's new

Where is the Glassware?

???? Question. Are the west a/c using the old America West glassware or are they using NEW Usairways glassware/china?

NEW US logo stuff..that is why what they say is crock of feces

Sooooo they are waiting for the shipment from the manufacturer or whatever yet they have the new glassware already? Hmmmm isn't that very interesting. I'm sure the excuse is on it's way that they want the customer to see USAirways when the glass is in front of them. Though not the most important thing to worry about it should have been taken care of but hasn't. Excuses, excuses.... Hey, it's not like were putting good wine in that plastic cup to cheapen it any further. It's not good wine AT ALL.

i've always wondered that... my east friend keeps telling me there telling him just waiting on the shipment... how the hell do we out west have all new china and logo glases, but the shipment somehow fell short of CLT,PHL,PIT????? makes no sense... good one tempe!!!

their treatment and disregard of the East customer extends to every aspect of the business. Lack of glassware yet their west customers received updated glassware and china. Their west customers received the snack basket yet the East customer has seen no improvements in FC and a degradation of FC with new wines that are horrible and obviously must be nearly free. East customers have great difficulty with kiosks and checkins and upgrades--I experience that several times this week and can't believe I was required to wait as long as I had to in lines while West customers breezed through and I was told--we'll be with you in a "minute"....i've learned that a minute means an hour out west....oh but patience will pay off, I know, the entire experience will suck in no time at all.

Those poor people at DL in for a rude awakening...it's too bad it is not NW because morale and service there couldn't get much worse than it already is so it wouldn't be much of a shock for Tempe to step in.

Here we go again with the NW bashing. I fly them every week and have never witnessed bad service from NW, except for the random G/A with an attitude (and every airline has those).

LOL.. A particular SEA east agent comes to mind, when I was based in CLT and would fly home from SEA, that agent was probably the rudest person I've ever met, so nasty to customers, employees, other agents... now when I work (HP) flights in and outta there... I don't see that person, hoping they decided to let em' go bye-bye...

Actually, the glassware HAS been on airplanes. All us reserves have been selling it on ebay so we have money to eat!!!

LOL along w/ the good wine and the gourmet meals oh and not mention I sold a couple spare closets from the east 320's last week, only got $15 for em' though! lol

If this was a man, I know who you're talking about. Yes, he could be rude, but once he got to know you he was nice. No one beats Stan, though. I was sad to see him retire a few years ago ... nicest guy, remembered names and always very helpful.

From a business standpoint let's give Management the benefit of the doubt (as difficult as that may seem). Placing glassware on the fleet entails a little more planning than most people would probably comprehend....does it take 6 months, Doubtful. What is probably going on here is a gradual rollout of the USAirways name in the AWA Marketplace.....as aircraft get painted and the AWA name fades into the history books, I believe the emphasis is to INCREASE the presence of the US logo and identity. (Afterall, USAirways never was a BIG player in the PHX area and the remnants of the PSA route system have been forgotten). Also, US has many more flights to Europe than they did when glassware was readily avail on all flights, and with breakage and logistic issues to deal with I am sure it is a Big ordeal and someone obviously didn't think this out before they gave a DATE of Implementation....."the old Easy on Paper but not practical in Reality". Meanwhile, Waiting........

Or maybe...........they're waiting to see if the Delta deal goes through. Why order and pay for all the US Airways glassware, etc. when the name MAY change?? Cost savings.

I bring my own glassware. I get it from the Club and return it at the Club at my destination, pick up a clean glass for use on the next flight, and so forth.

Sure bring your own wine glass or rocks glass. We have a wonderful selection of wines from our cellar to compliment our BOB meals. If it's a cocktail you'd prefer we also serve top shelf liquer and cordials for your drinking pleasure. If you would like us to put it in your own personal glass we'd be happy to do that for you. Would you like a half mini or full? I'd say bring linen and a candle lamp but uh uh uh....can't use matches on the plane. I wish we could offer you all something better. Our service levels and quality of products stink regardless of how some protect and stand up for what we have. It's tacky.

Can I bring my own Tonic also? Last week catering put on 1 can of tonic for a evening transcon flight on a 321. I'd fill a rollerboard with goodies but they reconfigured the airplanes so that there is no room for carryon luggage. maybe I'll just fill my coat pockets since I can't hang it anymore....limes, glasses, tonic water, and you supply the vodka...all for $900 one-way!

Know where I can buy one of those coats with like 12 pockets?
