i thought i had heard and seen it all...and then this brilliant quote, sandwiched into one of this week's FAQs explaining the new boarding policies on the hub:

-in lieu of the above, you'd at least get a return phone call from the voice message you left.

Actually the vests started with us in Maintenance, to be standardized with ICAO procedures we were required to wear them for Receipt and Dispatch.

Can the reflective orange material be incorporated in the uniform shirts and jackets to eliminate the need for a seperate vest?

We'd still be using SABRE insteads of Shares which I hear is MANY steps backward in functionality. Some friends were taveling on a pass and it took the girl in SEA 30 minutes to check them in. She was NOT new.
Retirees would still have their status and our spouses wouldnt be treated as 2nd class just becauise they arent traveling with us.

YES! The East side made the majority of profits.

YES because the "Old US" generated the profit in 2007. HP as a standalone LOST money in '06. You could look it up.

You are right about current profit...but there would have been none had everything gone the way of the east...we'd probably all be out of jobs by now, even the west folks.

It must be due to the website, powdered creamer, cramped coach seats and no closets. Whooohooooo let the money roll in. I think "Why does EVERYTHING favor East" is VERY laughable. This is DEFINATELY not true. We are turning into a bigger America West.

When I spoke with a friend of mine who worked in Legal for USAirways in CCY, she said the same thing: Many from the East that are left see the company as America West. Ironically, some of my fondest memories are from when I was 20 years old working for HP in TUS making a whopping $6.13/hr!

We have a guy in DFW thats been in the hospital for the past three weeks, wasn't wearing his 'Damn Pumkin Orange Vest' while walking across the ramp on a rainy Saturday evening and got himself run over by a pushback tractor.

SKY high states: How tragic. You cant be safe enough while on the ramp.
I thought the same thing when arriving into PHX during a THUNDERSTORM. To my shock.......EVERYONE was ON THE RAMP despite the LIGHTNING STRIKES. Do YOU ALL in PHX not go INSIDE during a thunderstorm OVER THE FIELD??????????
