MWW TECH --- So true, the west has been getting profit sharing for the past few years. And we never were at the top pay scale or had a pension. There is only 401k now for those of you from the east.

On the pilot side, the USAirways MEC decided (on a tightly divided vote) to share the ONE good aspect of our awful LOA 93 working conditions with the AWA pilots. It was done to show that the east pilots are looking for unity; the gesture was meant as an olive branch.

Of course, the west pilots got their 3% pay raises. The east pilots still work under draconian conditions with pay rates that were lower than west to begin with, and now the disparity has grown.

But the one crumb that has fallen to the east pilots now gets divided up to share with the west...even though there was no obligation for the east pilots to share it! And to my knowledge, there hasn't even been a "thank you" forthcoming.

It was done to try to counter the discord from trying to steal their jobs with Date of Hire seniority integration.

We on the East side can have the West's contract tomorrow. We don't because the union want to keep our scope clause.
