I would NOT put DEllDude in the same territory as 700...I know you may feel compelled to do so....but, I can tell you, trust me, they are NOT in the same mold!!! Dell...Sorry if I am wrong, but that is how I feel...

Contract language means nothing?

Gee I guess the Airbus Arbitration means nothing to you?

It proves the scope language is relevant and what is written in the contract stands.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

And arbitrations is precedent setting, the scope language has been tested by the company and the IAM prevailed, not the company.

But hey, why let the facts get in the way of one of your rants?

And the company had the chance in bankruptcy to get rid of all heavy and they did not.

Guess what??? You still continue after all these years to say the SAME thing!!! The Fat lady has not finished her song yet, and I will tell you, this is not over....MRO's.........You are familiar with those, right?......I specifically staed 737.....did you NOT see that????.... It WILL be gone....Like I said, there is another surprise awaiting PIT, and you do not know what it is, and it is driving you crazy........LOL

50% of the 737s must be performed in-house, the contract scope language covering heavy maintenance has been tested and won the by the IAM.

Like I said dont let the facts get in the way of your rant.

And let me guess Timco is going to set up an engine shop.

See you are not the only one who knows things, lol!

50%.....wow....thats a great victory for the IAM!!!!We used to do 100% of ALL maint.....Big victory for the IAM

Do you ever say anything other than "letting the facts get in your way"???

As far as Timco setting up an engine shop....I never heard that before...You must know something I don't know about

I guess you don't realize that US has been in bankruptcy twice in the past two years.

Like I said, don't let the facts get in they way of one of your rants.

And the CWA use to do 100% of the reservations.

And mainline pilots use to fly all the jets.

Get with the times, the industry has changed for the worse.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!! US was in BK twice in the last two years????? OMG!!!! Where have I been??? The industry has changed???...700....Is that really you saying that??????LOL.....Get with the times????...You fool, there were many of us saying what you just said TWO-THREE-FIVE YEARS AGO!!!!!LOL....You, my friend are a riot!!!

Remember why the last proposal went through . It was because the utility , the coming laid off worker and the the employee that were to retire would not get their severance package or medical benefits because of the sick time money along with the unemployment benefits . IF THE CONTRACT PROPOSAL WAS NOT VOTED IN THIS WOULD NOT HAPPEN! The big question is where is the Voted on Proposal??? Remember it was accepted by the membership in March 2005 and it is now Sept. 2005 going on Oct. 2005 . Is the IAM hiding something we don't know ? I guess that the profit sharing money is not what we thought it to be; 5% of any profit made along with up to 25% of a undisclosed amount now what is it and we are not sure what it is for the IAM stated that is not what we are to understand it to be. There are many questions to be asked and we were told there is a second proofreading going on before we obtain the proposal. WHY SOOOOO Long? We as members of the IAM should ask our leadership these questions . And maybe get a answer right or wrong to our liking, but a true answer. Also ask the leadership about a discussion with the teamsters to see who we believe or accept as telling us the facts; where the membership would be present not the discussions behind close doors saying he said that and she said this . But a true open forum so we can see what is truely going on. I truely believe a union is needed but what one is truely wanted. Remember in closing the IAM statement : We don't tell the Company how many can work or where but it will be an IAM member doing it as long as we represent the workforce. So my take on it to be: 1 or 20,000 members , 1 aircraft or 1,000 and Charlotte or Canada but an IAM member will work on the equipment . Tell this to the 50 utility worker that are left on the USAIRWAYS property and the furlough ones.

The contract is the same as the previous one except for the changes in the final offer that was voted on and ratified.

700UW,

As you appear to be connected to the heartbeat of the IAM, what are your feelings as to the IAM at NWA performing struck work (SCAB)?

Is this the right thing to do?

How about the Ex IAM Local 143 President crossing the picket line and being a SCAB?

Or the Ex IAM Local 143 General Chair crossing the picket line and being a SCAB?

Is This an 'IAM' Thing?

Thanks in advance,

-BigE

I would like to hear the explaination for this myself along with many others???? And their excuse is???????

He was an ex GC who went into management and then back to the rank and file, I do not know him, never met him and he is a piece of crap for being a scab.

And I can't speak for him, go ask him why he crossed and he is not an IAM member, he is a member of AMFA.

You must understand that you will not and can not receive an intelligent response to this one because it shows the true blood and guts of IAM's soul, the matter that IS the IAM. I posted this before and it's worth reposting: Self-serving, uncaring morons run the IAM. The IAM’s motto should read: Serving to further one's own selfish interests. This is the essence of the IAM from top to bottom. Look back at Caterpillar to see the IAM in action. They basically accomplished nothing except let the company get away with exactly what they wanted and that took lost time and jobs AND membership dues to accomplish. The world has changed, DUH, and the IAM has too, in the opposite and completely wrong direction. This is a mental illness that needs eradicated. To see what the illness does to its victims, look to these boards for postings of an IAM’s advocate complete and total mental collapse, how sad, how pathetic. It’s painful to behold and why I don’t look at these boards as much anymore.

He was upset he couldn't be a yes voter on a final offer so he became a scab, so much for all that great union training up there at Placid Harbor or whatever they call that place! The bottom line is the IAM is a scab union can't spin it, can't defend it. All his former buddies in the IAM are scabbing at NW, maybe he figured they need more scab leadership!
