The individual is a AMFA member not IAM, but hey don't let the facts get in your way.

And sorry I have no "buddies" over at NWA, the truth is he is a member of AMFA and he scabbed, AMFA failed not the IAM, it is AMFA's responsibility to educate their members not to be scabs.

Bottom line is AMFA has and will lose it all at NWA and accomplish nothing.

After 6 years of being an IAM Local president, it appears he is untrainable.
Yea, it is the fault of AMFA 🙄
that he became a SCAB 😛

Lets see Buffenbarger nor any member of the Executive Council who runs the IAM is not performing struck work.

Lets compare Boeing and NWA, NWA is flying over the picket lines, but Boeing is not manufacturing nor delivering planes, big difference.

AMFA is no differant then the IAM, they took concessions at UAL, ATA and FLYi.

I support labor, but bottom line is AMFA was not prepared for a strike against NWA, they have no strike fund, they are soliciting donations through paypal and begging other unions for money. Meanwhile NWA has been preparing for this strike for 18 months, you think AMFA would have done a better job.
[post="304839"][/post]
There you go again making those stupid comments, Buffenbarger and the executive council agreed to let the IAM do the work did they not, that makes them scabs.
Let's compare Boeing and NWA. One reason NWA is still flying is because scab unions such as the IAM agreed to do struck work.
Let's talk about strike funds, the IAM still handing out $100 a week, whats that get you these days. You are nothing more than a spin machine and your not even good at it!

Robert DePace of 143 let them do the work which was in their contract and no longer in AMFA's contract.

I don't see any IAM represented mechanics keeping NWA's fleet in the air.

The Strike fund is now $150 per week, and unlike AMFA, the IAM prepared its members for a strike, and many of them have saved money since last agreement for a strike since the IAM has struck Boeing numerous times. How much is AMFA giving its striking workers per week? ZERO!!!!!

And I am glad to see that all you can do is name call and insult, you lose all credibilit when you do that, does it make you feel like a big man when you call people's comments stupid or do you do that when you realize the poster is right and you are wrong?

700UW;

Well, I see you don't know as much as you 'a$$ume'.
AMFA Local 9 (as are many AMFA Locals) are kicking in to help pay for the striking members COBRA and Yes, many of us have kicked in upwards to $1,000 to help out.

If a member will cross a picket line for not getting $600 a month, then so be it!!!

I did not call you any 'name' but made the observation about the SCABs at NWA.
Does this bother you?
They are SCABS!!
How do you rationalize this?

The IAM at NWA is doing struck work (SCABBING) yet you spin this 'fact' also!

I also did not call you stupid.

But that is the IAM way, through rhetoric, lies, half-truths, and deceptions.

Get a Grip Brother!!!

THE SCAB

I was talking to fanlube and I do not agree nor codone the IAM doing the work where AMFA was staffed.

700UW;

Regardless of whom you were addressing, You spit out the same venom and rhetoric as does the IAM National/International/Whatever.

I do believe that you are a 'Unionist' at heart and I can respect that!

But you must see that the strike at NWA is 'much' bigger than defending a particular union? Do you not?

Do you believe that 'An Injury to One is an Injury to All'?

If so, stand with me Brother as we fight the 'Good Fight'!!!

Take Care,

I see this a step further. The is Corporate America against thier being a middle-class society period.

Today the IAM and AMFA....and now its the UAW in the cross-hairs in a completely different industry that does share a common limiting factor. "Fuel prices"

I do not exclude the plight of the AFA or CWA members either....and I'm sure thier will be a dose of pain coming to some others too.

Just wait until the big three come after the UAW and their pensions!! I'm sure they have been paying attention!!

The warning shots at the UAW are already being fired. Pensions , Medical , Wages and all.

GM has already closed a plnat in NJ if memory serves....and higher gas prices will drive things down for them...as its done for us. Bank on it. :down:

K....dont we both have the Allegheny-Mohawk in our contracts? Yes. We do. It is not going to matter which union we go with the outcome will be the same for the union intergration.

Specifically, the LPP terms provide:

Section 2(a). The term "merger" as used herein means
joint action by the two carriers whereby they unify,
consolidate, merge, or pool in whole or in part their
separate airline facilities or any of the operations or
services previously performed by them through such
separate facilities.

* * *

Section 3. Insofar as the merger affects the seniority
rights of the carriers' employees, provisions shall be

5

made for the integration of seniority lists in a fair and
equitable manner, including, where applicable,
agreement through collective bargaining between the
carriers and the representative of the employees
affected. In the event of failure to agree, the dispute
may be submitted by either party for adjustment in
accordance with section 13.

* * *

Section 13(a). In the event that any dispute or
controversy . . . arises with respect to the protections
provided herein, which cannot be settled by the parties
within 20 days after the controversy arises, it may be
referred by any party to an arbitrator selected from a
panel of seven names furnished by the National
Mediation Board for consideration and determination.

(Labor Protective Provisions, sections 2(a), 3, and 13(a)).2

So Wouldn't it be better to go with the union that has more to offer.

Senority doesn't mean #### to me. I am bottom now and will be bottom no matter how we merge. I dont want a pay cut. I want benefits. Bottom Line.

Since I am the last tech hired from outside the company at PHX(3YRS) Icouldn't agree more. But since the NMB is an arm of the gov't and the fact that the new US is into them for a huge chunk of cash, I don't have very much faith in "fair and equitable"

The bottom line is both airlines saved each other. AWA wouldn't have survived much longer on it's own. Also Doug and company weren't the only cogs in the investor gear. Most of U employee's could care less about who did what so long as the checks cash. The AWA people that think Doug is looking out for them is foolish at best. He dosen't have to answer to you. Senority will prevail. I'm sorry for those that will be effected, including myself, but thats the rules of the game. You should have known that when you hired on. If you can't play by the rules don't play!! Thats the way it is! Get use to it. BTW if we lose the Airbus work there will be alot more of your buddies on the street. The End 😉
