I comes from working at a airport a very long time with both mainline and express and having to work both sides .I stand my statement the express side is less reliable. One does not have to look far to comprehend that. You just have to be involved in the every day operations of both sides over a period of time.

If your are a US1 your all ready know about the reliably factor .So US management has contract express carriers because it is easy to get rid of employees and there airline. Because of this threat is why these employees have no loyalty to US Airways

SALISBURY- A Salisbury woman has been convicted of stealing from her former employer, Piedmont Airlines.

Diane Parks, 44, on Tuesday was found of forgery and theft. Wicomico County prosecutors say that Parks stole $19,000 from the Salisbury-based Piedmont Airlines between 2000 and 2002.

Parks worked in the payroll department and police say she laundered payroll money into her own personal bank account.

No date has been set yet for sentencing.

Piedmont Airlines is a US Airways Express carrier that serves the eastern United States and Canada.

On the Express side, unfortunately, Piedmont and PSA employees will not receive a payout. Their program - which is separate from mainline - pays if their A14 performance is higher than 82 percent, or if they beat the mainline performance in a month when mainline makes a payout. With a monthly A14 of 75.0 percent, they unfortunately did not make either goal.

Couldn't be because we are always waiting around for someone to find the wands or the gate when we're trying to park....

Well john-john all of that is very nice. BUT, facts to support an argument are ALWAYS helpful.

having said that, as a customer I tend to agrre with you. BUT consider this.

If I were an Airline Exec. I could relatively easily replace a contract carrier for non performance faster than I can a person in a represented workforce.

Bob,you'll notice Mesa is still around, even though they killed 21 people in CLT,two of whom I knew personally (Capt. Katy Leslie and John, her F/O).

"In an uncharacteristic Press Release, USAirways the Tempe based Low Fare Carrier is proud to announce there was a TIE in the category of WORST CONTRACT CARRIER.....(drumroll/ trumpets/ water cannons and hell let's use that leftover confetti the Broncos couldn't toss.....to MESA (the incumbent) and Shuttle America". Since No Ties are allowed we sent it to George Bush for an Executive Decision. After walking about his Crawford, Texas ranch the honorable distinguished diplomat said, "I have to Tip my Hat to MESA.......those folks REALLY SUCK!"
