HELLO BROTHERS AND SISTERS
I think this is a great forum for us to vent our frustration and share our ideas. I am glad to see the IBEW is so well received across the country. the fleet service group is a strong group of people with great ideas and even more passion. With your vast knowledge of this industry, and strong leadership at the highest level you could set the standard for all airlines in wages, benefits and work-rules. It is certainly deserved after the sacrifices you and your families have had to endure for far to long. Times are getting better for the airline, but male no mistake US AIRWAYS will never give you what you deserve without a fight. With that being said this is the best time to be at the bargaining table. After reading that TA I can see why this did not meet the expectations of the membership. At the end of the day thats all that matters. You guys control your fate. Not the leadership of the IAM or the IBEW for that matter. Your concerns MUST be addressed at any and every opportunity. After all you pay the salarys of your reps. Therefor when as a group you demands more, leadership MUST listen. Thats what leadership does, thats what they are paid to do. The IBEW brings real leadership to the table. The bargaining table, I put the IBEW's track record against any of the major unions in this country. On a personal note, when your highest paid worker makes just over 17.00 an hour, no rep, or at least not so many should be racking in 100,000.00 and up. NO WAY!!!!!
