Yes or no for the IBEW?

Regardless of who makes what, the fact of the matter is that the IBEW is actively pursuing Fleet Service. That to me shows a level of commitment that the I AM MANAGEMENT union has never shown. If the I AM MANAGEMENT opened their eyes to it members earlier this whole point would be moot. Sadly they do not care enough about us to fight back. So everyone needs to make up their own mind. Please use the information on here to see for yourself. And 700, oh I mean lavman, or whatever other handle you have on here, please just post your info and try not to distort the facts. Because every time you do it shows me at least that you are a I AM MANAGEMENT lackey looking for a pass to the $100,000 club. I would agree with that. Just remember though that a portion of the PHL 22 will still be getting their money! They will be a part of the 100K club for the IBEW.

yeah i think that's whats gonna eventually happen...but i'd rather have that, than another year with the same union that doesn't care about us.
...besides I doubt a lot of people would vote for those guys anyways.

Here is a look at one of their locals in NY the business manager makes over $100K as well does just the local officers!

Never seen an IAM local lodge officer make $145K.

If memory serves, the IBEW has a different structure than the IAM. Their Business Agents are similar the AGC in the IAM, and are based in the local. Also noteworthy, the IBEW BA's are subject to recall in the local, and actually run for election every couple of years unlike the AGC's who are in national districts, and have nominal accountability to the membership. As long as the AGC's don't run afoul of Canale they are guaranteed a spot on the "slate", and virtual lifetime service.

Hope 777 You could not be farther from the truth! The IBEW guys will be in some of the western cities tommorrow and that's a fact! The fact is that this is another one of those I AM MANAGEMENT untruths! We will be doing other east coast cities this week also. The problem is that the IAM is trying to get people scared of change. We have continued to be used as pawns in this game of cat and mouse. The company has always dictated to the IAM what they will give them. The IAM has never demanded that they do the right thing by Fleet Service! They were very successful in getting what they wanted the pos. space. When they should have gotten back more for us. If they are as big as they say then why must they have pos. space on Usairways. They have taken more than enough of our money in dues to pay for tickets. This is a fact everytime they have gone in with the company they have came out saying that it cost money to run the union so they must raise the dues. Here is the score: Milk has gone up in the past 2 years almost $2.00 a gallon. Gas has gone up in the past 8 years $1.00 to $1.50 but your salaries have gone down in the past 3.5 years by $3.00. This can not continue because if it does we will be like the coalminers of old where we owe our souls to the company store!!!!!!!!!!
