Hmmmm very interesting and very wrong. See you are of the mind set based upon what you have see HERE that photos are being taken on the slide. 99.9 % of the photos taken have ME in them AND most of the time ME being the focal point and not them. Now the one's where im not the focal point I ask them to lets take a photo together.

It's long been clinically accepted that some individuals forever imagine themselves as the "focal point" of the world around them, which would represent the "99.9 % of the photos taken have ME in them" portion, so as long as you're the self-ascribed "focal point" no consent is even asked?....? If I have your math correctly understood you only require knowing consent for 0.1 % of the pics you take involving coworkers and afterwards post for the world to see? Sigh...You're making a truly impressive case for yourself. 😉

"See you are of the mind set based upon what you have see HERE"...? Hardly, but it's admittedly difficult to make much in the way of actual sense out of your passive-aggressive, yet ultimately defensive posts.

Life's simply too short to hang onto already determined results as even emotionally driven foolishness. There's a strong hint around here that you're doing exactly that, and your posts offer further evidence to that effect. The very least we all both fully can and should do is treat each other with respect in the work environment, and most certainly within the cockpit. I'll leave it at that.

Best wishes to all for a safe, "paint scratch free" and fully enjoyable career...and do have the good sense to appreciate what you have while it's there. No amount of corporate rapine, nor nonsensical, internecine "conflict" can ever diminish the beauty of the higher altitude sky...unless you choose to let it.

Ok lets kind put things in better perspective shall we. I have not been participating in here in fact I was booted off for identifying many of you. .........

Now am I mental? I sincerely doubt that nor will I allow others to damage my sanity or whats left of my career flying.

1) "I was booted off for identifying many of you.." Justly so, given doing such was a clear and blatant violation of published forum Rules, so what other rules/regs/etc do you routinely drop in life for your personal convenience, and thus in what way do (even can) you imagine yourself to be at all a trustworthy individual, given that the/whatever rules clearly don't ever apply to YOU, at least in your demonstrably proven estimation? That last is an honest question to which I'd expect little more than yet another dissembling ramble in response.

2) Per your "Now am I mental?"...Well since you asked...umm...err...Perhaps best I stick with "The very least we all both fully can and should do is treat each other with respect in the work environment, and most certainly within the cockpit......Best wishes to all for a safe, "paint scratch free" and fully enjoyable career." 😉

You read Rays' idiotic attempt to get the UAL MEC to work with a radical LAS council. One that was about to be eliminated. The UAL MEC was working with Freund already Ray. Your idea was incredibly stupid, but indicative of the poor leadership that led west pilots into a money losing seniority land grab attempt.
Ray and his mis informed pal Mitch Vasin led their group in circles, funneling a steady stream of cash to an adept lawyer named Marty.
Ray and Mitch certainly did not live " rent free" in Martys' head. These two plundered and wasted millions of their fellow pilots hard earned monies.
Marty cleaned their clocks.
Way to go Ray!

I may be out of my jurisdiction and unable to make an arrest or take any action myself, but my sworn testimony will carry weight. I do have to show up to make it stick. This idiot "f---ed" with the wrong driver. The fact that he endangered my wife and unborn child is what is really motivating me. I hope the judge throws the book at him.

The officer who responded told me that based on his questioning of the driver and his inconsistencies, he has no doubt in his mind that he did it intentionally. He's going to have a hard time getting it thrown out.

Ray believes that police records and mugshots are "private information" that have no place on forums.

Remember Rays' pal Jetz?

Ray and Jetz were two peas in a pod. Bigtime supporters of the chowderhead Johnny Mac.

The West had JR Baker in office, a must sharper dude than Mac. Baker would have been smart enough to cut a deal at Wye River and lock in the Nic. He was capable of seeing the forest for the trees.

Instead, the Me Generation 2004 hirees, plus Ray, kicked JR to the curb and brought in Johnny. He perfectly represented their entitled attitude. They could have had it all with JR but that wasn't good enough. They wanted it all NOW with their class dunce Johnny. It did not work out well.

Ray admires Mark C. Doyal for blasting the FBI's lie detector experts on a public forum.

Ray decries those who paste verbatim transcripts of Mark C. Doyal's bitter, anti-FBI ramblings on this public forum.

Polygraph Statement of Mr. Mark C. Doyal
I had always wanted to be an FBI agent. With that singular goal in mind, I enrolled in Southwest Texas State University in the fall of 1988. My major was Law Enforcement with a minor in Economics. I graduated in December 1990 and I took the written FBI exam that next January. I passed and was scheduled for an interview in March of 1991. The interview went great and I achieved a perfect score. However, the FBI determined that I needed more experience and informed me to re-apply in two years. I immediately took the Law School Admissions Test and applied to South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. I was excepted for the class beginning in January 1991. I was fortunate in that I was able to obtain employment on a full time basis with the Harris County District Attorney's Office - Economic Crime Division. I remember my new boss asking me after he interviewed me what I planned on achieving with a law career. I immediately responded that I wanted a career with the FBI. Everyone who I met knew that that was my goal.

Working full time for the District Attorney while attending law school at night was tough, but I knew I had to get the right kind of experience and education to make myself the best possible candidate for the FBI. Upon graduation from law school (Dec. 1994), I re-applied with the FBI. I was scheduled to take the written exam on a Monday following the Bar exam. I again passed the written exam and had to wait to be selected for the interview. I wrote letters nearly every month to the applicant coordinator asking to be interviewed and explaining what I was doing each month. Finally, I was selected to be interviewed in Kansas City in July of 1996. Seven of us in our region were selected to go, but only two of us passed the interview process. Myself and another girl. I was on top of the world, knowing that I was about to realize my dream.

The polygraph exam was next, August 7, 1996, in San Antonio, Texas. I knew I had nothing to worry about, since I had never violated the FBI's drug policy and I had not lied on my application. The agent administering the polygraph noted during the pre- polygraph interview that I had attended a university that he believed was a "party school" and that I needed to tell him what drugs I used when I went there. I stated that I had taken none, that I didn't live on campus, I lived in another city, and that I was an older student and wasn't influenced to do such things. He repeated that that couldnít be the case and told me again to tell him what illegal drugs I had done. I countered again that that just wasn't the case and that I was telling the truth. This went back and forth for about 10 minutes and he seemed to be getting upset that I wouldnít admit to taking drugs. Finally he stated that if I was lying he was about to find out. I was upset at the unbelievable accusations he was making. Up until that point I had been treated with the utmost professionalism by the FBI staff, now I was being treated like an accused criminal. After the polygraph was over, he told me I had failed. I almost passed out in disbelief

I wrote several letters to FBI Director Freeh, and in October of 1996 I was polygraphed again, by another agent with the first agent who polygraphed me present. The results were the same, he told me I had failed. I just could not believe it. I had not lied on the polygraph. Even the first agent that had polygraphed me told me as I was leaving that he now believed me, that I was telling the truth. I wrote the Director several more times to no avail, my application was terminated in November of that year. My dreams were shattered.

Finally, as a side note, I later applied with the Secret Service. I did just as well in the testing and interview stages as I had with the FBI. When it came time for the polygraph, the agent administering it asked me if I had been polygraphed before. I told him yes, and under what circumstances and the results. He thanked me for my honesty, unhooked me from the polygraph without testing me and told me that he would have to contact his superiors for their advice. I could not believe it. Two months later I received a form letter stating that I was no longer competitive with the other agent applicants. I am a licensed attorney, professional pilot, have law enforcement experience and with top scores but I was not competitive? Obviously I had been "black balled" by the erroneous polygraph results from the FBI.

I will probably always be effected by the injustice of what happened. I wrote a final letter to Director Freeh this summer asking for another polygraph. I even offered to pay all expenses associated with retaking it if I were to fail. I guess I still haven't accepted that you can fail a polygraph while telling the truth. Or the fact that the FBI could make this kind of mistake. I had always looked up to that agency as the pinnacle of professionalism. I received the same form letter back that I had received almost two years earlier. It is a shame, since all I wanted to do was to have a chance to serve my country and make my family proud.

Sincerely,

Mark C. Doyal

There is, of course, always more to the story:

I'll go one step further, Doyal's story is total make-believe. Sure, this is how its done on TV...but anyone that has been through the process knows just how false this story is.

Total hogwash.

If the incident was this benign, no one else would have even been aware of it. My sources say the other pilots became quite aware of it.

Just sayin'.

I think that you nailed it right there. There is more to this story than the poster is willing to admit. Why wouldn't he just use the interphone in the rest compartment if he was having trouble getting out? He does quite a bit of mud slinging, even of late, on several forums for someone who claims to be so innocent. Some of his posts are what you expect from someone who self identifies by his chosen nickname: "Pit Bull".

Some of these posters have threatened for years to shake things up when they headed East. Nice. I hope to never have to deal with them.

Steve Gay
Rerouting a career to new heights
Passion and persistence helped him become an American Airlines captain.

Steve Gay always wanted to fly. As a boy, he was inspired by many trips on Pan American 707 Clipper jets from Houston to São Paulo, where his dad was an audit partner and briefly, the São Paulo-office managing partner for Price Waterhouse.

At age 18, Steve enrolled in the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University aviation management program. But a saturated employment market put his plans on hold. Instead, he turned to accounting. After graduating from the University of Texas - Austin in 1979, he took a position with Price Waterhouse in Houston, later moving on to computer sales. But it was a chance conversation with a commercial airline pilot that awakened him once more to the idea of flying.

Steve expressed concern about obstacles such as his age and the fact that he wore glasses. But the pilot stopped him, saying: “The rules have changed. There’s no age restriction, you no longer have to have uncorrected 20/20 vision, and they’re hiring lots of civilian-trained pilots. You can fly for the airlines now!”

It was the push Steve needed. Two days later, he enrolled at a Houston flight school and went on to gain FAA commercial and flight instructor certificates. He later served as a flight instructor, gaining hours and experience, and then worked his way up through positions with regional carriers, commanding smaller commercial aircraft. In 2004, he was promoted to Captain at America West in Phoenix. The next year, the airline absorbed US Airways Group and adopted the US Airways name. Eight years later in February 2013, US Airways and American agreed to merge, forming the world’s largest airline. In December 2014 the merger became official. The FAA is expected to issue a single operating certificate in April 2015, meaning all employees will follow the same procedures and receive the same training. The FAA issued a single operating certificate in April 2015, meaning all employees now follow the same procedures and receive the same training.

The thrill of flying has never worn off for Steve. “Truly, it never gets old,” he says, “I love coming to work; I like greeting the passengers. I still relish showing that wide-eyed kid the cockpit before or after the flight to get a glimpse of the controls, because I was once that kid.”

On rerouting himself to the career of his dreams, he is firm, “If the door is cracked, even in the slightest, you have to try to push it open.”

Steve did some creative editing. Especially where he said america west absorbed USAir

I found it and there was not kicking or pounding that was just a lie focused upon me. I did pull on the door several times and then located the lock. Now this STILL does not explain why any of was posted here OTHER than a personal attack. ???????? Pulled the door several times ? Glad it was not a porta-potty!
