west pilots are becoming more and more viewed as what they have been know across the industry since the inception of their airline. Once merely casual outside observers of the Nic, LAA pilots see it as the flawed award it was. They now will formulate a defeat to it. AWA pilots have dragged the industry down for years, now they again attempt disruption. LAA pilots will not stand for it.

Had a few AA jumpseaters the other day, seems the APA is really fed up with the west group, especially after the latest PHX fishbowl letter.

One man's fishbowl is a motivation to donate more Marty Bucks... and to another man it's just whining and pleading to management.

Actually son I have 34 and change. You will learn to wait your turn like the rest of us.

Go whine to Ferguson and Koontz and the other idiots that wrecked your career. To bad you did not listen to the the U-turn guys, they were spot on.

Hey junior, hate to burst your narcissistic bubble....but, I have been making more money than you for the last DECADE.

Oh, and I had 31 days vacation...for the last DECADE.

got paid for cancellations, had better sick policy, got better pay for training, and on and on and on.....for the last DECADE.

Your 34 years and $3.39 would get you the #1 combo at Dunkin Donuts..a coffee and two donuts to eat while you flew for the lowest major airline pay...for the last DECADE.

I find it laughable that a junior guy, who just spent an entire DECADE sucking up LOA93 thinks a guy senior to him has the "wrecked career".

I have had AA jumpseaters also....they think usapa was a scab union, but love the fact the east had the lowest career expectation of any group.

They did not like that the West is the highest paid group in class and status though.  hmmm, maybe that is what your jumpseaters were talking about???

Everything a westie says to anybody about anything (in person) is totally obscured by that hideous, gaudy, fashion faux pas tie.   I'm sorry, I just can't hear you.

.......had to read it twice, how dumb are Ferguson and Koontz.

Umm....dare I say they are just a teensy weensy bit smarter than the dumb scab who can't even read who signed the letter!!

Maybe you should have read that part twice 🙂

west pilots in PHX fishbowl ignore previous Wye River negotiations.

Ah Liar, you remind me of the Paul Simon classic. .."Still Crazy After All These Years". You just can't help yourself making this crap up, can you.

On the other hand, I was on an AA jumpseat last month, and the crew was agog regarding Capt. Anderson's instructing a District Court Judge on how she should rule. What a complete & utter tool.

Big Smiles!

For what even possible reason should anyone anywhere else be the least bit "outraged at the unfair treatment of PHX pilots..."?  Is it no longer the PHX philosophy that whatever you can take from anyone else is the pure and "righteous" way to go? Why heck; just a few pages back we see nic4us smirkingly asserting that a fellow pilot with 34 years service is supposedly "junior" to him.

What's actually "pretty easy to understand" is that you exist solely within some self-deluded and hopelessly narcissistic little bubble.
It's 5:00 pm somewhere..go pour yourself a strong one.

In fact, at our PHX domicile meeting on Wednesday, we just had a one-year PHX-based pilot complain to us that he had pilots junior to him flying the A330 and E190 as CAPTAIN, even though they were all hired by “New American” at the same time.
Oh well, thank Simmions and company, WYE RIVER
Still Lying after all these years.....

I've done a fair amount of reading on the current thinking among arbitrators. It's geared mostly to keeping your CURRENT financial condition intact. I listened to Rowland Wilder speak repeatedly to putting the AA and LUS pilot groups on equal footing financially on the date of the merger. Based on what I heard, I seriously doubt it matters what you did for the last ten years or who was in bankruptcy when. All that matters is where you were on December 9, 2013. You can argue and thump your chest all you like, but don't get your hopes up for the panel to do anything to remedy the NIC or look at who did what prior to the merger date.

My prediction is as it always has been. Slotting by equipment with a longevity credit. Not a ratio.

That would ignore the LAA "superlative superior" argument, the West "retrospective Nic" argument, and the East "prospective Python" argument. Thus, your prediction has merit!

Wonder why AA is not seeking more gates in PHX.

That whole operation should be sold off now to Mesa or Republic, end of story.

Big smiles Dave!
