I just talked to a Fidelity AA representative.  The 401K is still being transferred to the new accounts.  Balance should show up by Wednesday or Thursday this week.
Thanks.  It is a little disconcerting.

PHOENIX BASE UPDATE
Greetings! As you may have read, the APA recessed from the Fall APA Board of Directors meeting on October 23, and the Board of Directors will return to complete unfinished business later this week. As you can imagine, there is a great deal of daily business for the single largest body of pilots in the world...........................................................................................

But;
.............
IV.            Remember that International Training Phoenix was told to expect?

Well, it actually wont be happening any time soon. We recall being told that PHX pilots would be quickly and completely trained so that we could FINALLY be allowed to participate in some of that international flying which was a part of the first merger.

By now, you must have seen the Read File dated October 9, 2015, which describes how that training will be parsed into “phases.”  Phase one is distance learning that will “qualify domestic pilots to fly to limited, low threat Latin America.” It specifically mentions PHX-CUN. Since Phoenix pilots have done that route for many years already (and could write the book about how to do it safely), it appears that someone failed to tell the AA management that we ALREADY fly there. There seems to be a considerable lack of attention to detail by management when it pertains to anything PHX.

The bottom line is that this phased training will drag out the completion of international training and affect our eligibility for this flying until as late as June of 2016. Once again, Phoenix will not reap the benefit of a deal we supported and for flying to which we are entitled. It's happened so many times now that we've simply lost count. At least the company is consistent when adding insult to injury to the former AWA pilots, so we're no longer caught off guard.

Another recent example of this can be seen in the company's reduction to our daily guarantee from 5:15 to 5:00 per day until we get onto the “new” PBS. Only then we will get the 5:10 per day we voted for in the JCBA.  WAIT a minute!  Haven't we been doing PBS for over 15 years already? The fact is that there's no viable reason to reduce our daily guarantee before increasing it again, but don't bother telling this to AA management because it has remained totally deaf to our pleas and blind to the inequities our pilots uniquely suffer as a direct result of the decisions it has made over the last decade while we successfully fought to uphold our legal rights. But that has apparently been either embarrassing to or inconvenient for upper management, so it seems to  encourage decisions which uniquely harm PHX while we remain in our neglected fishbowl and unable to mitigate these losses by way of access to flying and opportunities available to every other pilot (including new hires) at any other base in the system. We've made them well aware of this numerous times, yet have received no consideration whatsoever and it only seems the screws just get turned that much tighter. Nonetheless they continue to expect our help in “Going for Great?”

It makes you wonder what it has in store for us next. Who knows, but odds are we won't much like it.

Thanks for listening. Please be sure to take good care of each other on the line and remain vigilant against distractions.

Sincerely,

John Scherff
PHX Chairman
Eric Ferguson
PHX Vice-Chairman
David Simmons PHX Base Administrator
The west pilots are still not able to understand the fact that their relevancy in the future, will be thought of as a legal matter, not by mutual respect from the company or apa.

Rumor has it that Capt. Mike Cleary is returning to work.  I think this would be a great time for a Mike Cleary quote:

The Arbitration Board conducts an evidentiary hearing, with witnesses, evidence and a stenographic transcript. The Boards Opinion and Award are to be issued simultaneously, within 150 days following the PID, unless both pilot groups and ALPAs President agree to an extension. The Merger Policy provides, The Award of the Arbitration Board shall be final and binding on all parties to the arbitration and shall be defended by ALPA. No ALPA seniority integration arbitration result has ever been set aside by the courts although some dissatisfied pilots have challenged the award before administrative agencies and the courts.

Three cheers for Capt. Cleary!!  Hip Hip Hooray!
As of close of government business today, he is still without a current Medical Certificate.

When will the west pilots finally tire of the "victim" mentality posts from their "leaders" and demand accountability?

apa and the company hope that it is not anytime soon.

How is Gary Hummel's current FAA medical certificate progression going?

They were the last two USAPA leaders.

Your thoughts please sir?
(May I add sir, you are "out of your league".

Right after the BOA delivers a seniority list AND the MOB occurs.  It should be interesting, to be sure.

You have argued your "legal" argument for ten years to get a court to insert the Nic into a contract, but no court has ever done so.. Not even Judge Wake dared to insert the Nic into a contract. Not one judge ever agreed with your desire and assumption that the Nic is a contractual obligation. Never. The company and USAPA abided by all the contracts. Always!

The BOA may find the Nic is fair and equitable (inherently and miraculously on its own, despite the fact it never foresaw the present merger), but the BOA will not discover it is fair and equitable by virtue of being contractually required. It isn't contractually required. It isn't legally required. The judges have explained it all to everyone.

Drop your useless "final and binding" whimpers. The BOA is weighing "fair and equitable". Try to keep up.

Perhaps Capt. Cleary will be back soon to claim his spot on the seniority list.
He is widely acclaimed by east pilots as one who actually carried through on his promise of defeating the Nic. PSA leader and artificially named Armen Janzen could hardly claim any similar accomplishment. Armen is credited with watering down rigs to gain retirement benefits. East pilots every day have reaped the rewards of separate ops. Separate ops- a concept the west pilots memorialized by their unwillingness to compromise. West pilots have created and perpetuated their FISHBOWL through pig headed leadership of the 2004 hires.
PHX rep David Simmons has mislead his members for years with his legal ignorance. All Dave can do is quote opinion and conjecture. All proven to be incorrect.
Dave will never be able to explain away the fact, continually lamented by Scherff and Ferguson- that he is a dweller of the FISHBOWL and will be for many months to come.
Your thoughts Dave?

I rest my case. As usual there is no coherent response. Please list the cheating and lying in legal context, citing case law.
Your opinion does not count.

Pilots hired in the 80's and 90's bought $20 ties for $675 from pilots hired in the 2000's....   Good luck having a rationale discussion.

Wye can't you grow up Dave.......,Dave has done nothing but lie to his fellow pilots and has cost them so much!

Hey Davey boy, is Dave Blomgren a big liar?....... Please do tell! Come on humor us.

You share similar management traits of Enron executives. Your Leonidas very much resembles Enron.
It is powered by lies and false promise. No legal standing.
You are the Ken Lay of Leonidas, pumping your organization with false hype and hope. You call true criticism lies.
The house of cards is powered by sales of ridiculous ties.

Keep whistling past the graveyard

Two of the three MC's propose using the Nicolau Award as the starting point.
