WYE, thank you!  I'll take that as a compliment.  John Goodman is by far and away one of my favorite thespians, and a fellow Missourian (he by birth, me by transplant).

It's nice to know that when you close your eyes at night, you see that great big shinning face laughing at your follies & pretzel logic.  Good times.

John Goodman..? Did I write John Goodman? No.

You seem to have a chronic difficulty with details.

No, Scotty.  Just SCREWING with you.  I'd like to thing that I am like the character actor John Goodman in many ways.  Warm, fuzzy and a big heart.

You see Scotty, it is YOU and your ilk that are much more like Big Dan Teague.  Allow me to explain the painfully obvious:
  • Big Dan is supping with the smaller in frame Everett & Delmar (& Pete the frog, of course) = THINK FAILED SENIORITY NEGOTIATIONS, THEN AGREED UPON BUT FAILED MEDIATION, THEN AGREED UPON FINAL & BINDING ARBITRATION.
  • Big Dan gets GREEDY and WANTS IT ALL (the cash in Everett's pocket AND the "prize" in the shoe box) = THINK AAA PICKS UP TOYS, RUNS AWAY FROM THE JCBA DISCUSSION.
  • Big Dan grabs a branch, while affable Everett & Delmar watch quietly, and Big Dan proceeds to force his will upon Everett & Delmar = THINK LITTLE STEVIE AND THE DOWN-BY-THE-RIVER GANG PROCEED (against SEVERAL pieces of LEGAL ADVISE to NOT DO SO) TO VOTE IN A NEW COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGENT.
  • Big Dan even goes so far as to SQUEEZE the frog = THINK CACTUS 18, AND THE 2X (FAILED) RICO ATTACK.
  • Big Dan gets the cash, no prize and walks away thinking that he has got the free chicken dinner and the loot = THINK 7+ YEARS OF USAPA POUNDING THEIR CHEST THAT THEY WILL GET A "INDUSTRY LEADING CONTRACT" IN 90 DAYS AND THEY WILL BE ABLE TO GET THE "GOLD STANDARD" OF DATE-OF-HIRE.
  • Cue the end of the movie:  Everett gets the girl, Delmar is happy because Pete is JUST FINE, and while it looked grim at the end the flood saved all three from certain demise = THINK THE NINTH'S RULING THAT USAPA IS IN FACT GUILTY OF DFR, AND THAT THIS BOA KNOWS EXACTLY WHO THE EAST PILOTS/USAPA/EPSIC REALLY ARE AND WHAT KIND OF AN ARGUMENT THE "RICK-O-LAU" REALLY IS.
Hows that for drawing close parallels??  Hang in there Scotty.  The BOA will deliver a FAIR and FINAL & BINDING arbitrated list that you will have to swallow.  Pucker up, Buttercup.  😛

True story..

In between flights this week, standing in line at Starbucks... Two suited business men stood jus a few people in front of me (They had just been in first class on my flight).. They were talking amongst themselves...  I couldn't help but over hear a few things...

"American is getting worse, not better..."

"Did the gate agent do such and such for you?"  "No, Delta does that but American never does."

"Yeah, Delta's service is ten times better than American."

P.S.  One of the guys took a phone call and answered with his FULL name.  I googled him and was surprised to find a ton of hits with his picture all over Google.  Yes, though I personally didn't recognize him, he is plenty famous among many.  He was no light weight.

Delta wins, but we knew that.  Our senior management seems stuck in regional/express mode.

P.P.S.  I saw another individual of significant social prominence (that I did recognize) and he was dreaming of his next Delta trip too.

No surprise..........with this current AWA management team we will never ever be the quality airline that Delta is.........I hear complaints also from passengers.

Yeah, and in addition to delusional, childish fantasies that everyone, even ANYONE sees your idealized alter ego's "great big shinning face laughing at your follies & pretzel logic" when closing their eyes at night; "you'se" also like to imagine yourself some mighty "soldier" of "sparta"....Words just fail me here. Get yourself some long-overdue and clearly much-needed professional help son.

Suggested reference from the fine folks at the Mayo Clinic:  "A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial affairs. You may be generally unhappy and disappointed when you're not given the special favors or admiration you believe you deserve."

What letter and why won't the cowards at APA publish it on the PUBLIC side for NON-MEMEBRS????

If its so important an issue talking about it in Forbes only makes the AAL stock go UP!

Uhhhhh Jamie;
Uber-Blogger Ted Reed is referring to the e-communication that APA sent out to the membership, and thus is intended for the members in good standing only.  It is not a letter.

You're the one that has chosen to opt out of membership (unless it was determined at application that you are a SCAB).

Further, it sounds like from your brilliant missives that you will also choose to NOT PAY UNION DUES if approved by the US Courts (Funny how you choose to hang your hat on some court rulings, and not on others.).

If you choose to be a non-member and thence choose to not pay union dues, then you can read APA's updates on the cast-aside daily e-news in the gutter (web blogs) for all we members in good standing care.

Here's some free advice:
  • Apply for membership and stay informed - Unless you are a SCAB, then disregard.
  • Pay your dues.  This works and is funded when we all participate and support each other.
  • Volunteer for something that serves ALL American Airlines pilots (rather than participating in the "van-down-by-the-river" / new union tactics).
  • Steel yourself for what the BOA serves up, and suck it up.
  • Wake up on the right side of the bed and thank your lucky stars that you've had the GIFT of the past 10+ years of your career.  Had the AWA/AAA merger not taken place, you would have had to jerk gear for someone that wasn't even born when you were "the highest paid airline pilots in the industry".
Or you can remain a non-member, stop paying dues (if legally allowed), hoard all your cash, finish your miserable career as you cry into your beer about how great US Air was.

Carry on;
Dave

Sticks and stones.....sticks and stones.

I don't support the West.  I never will.  I WILL NOT FOLLOW YOU.  I WILL NOT JOIN YOU.

AOL:  The FIRST CORPORATE ORGANIZATION TO DESTROY UN"I"ONS for wanting to be treated GREATER than the others by wanting MORE!  Great lesson for the new hires.

I really was just trying to say that the APA pilots are cowards and pander to their own....much like you.  But those of us now in the MINORITY are being discriminated against and the pendulum swings our way.  My career is great and will be greater still when 2020 rolls around and you "un"I"on" pretenders who used a CORPORATION to destroy un"i"ons somehow blame me.  Because that is what you do.

FWIW I can get the letter but its for entertainment only and besides....if its THAT important to YOU then wheres the beef?  I mean its written for Forbes magazine but NOT for ALL pilots?  Fine with me anyway.  I just wanted it pick it apart (like I did with the Neil Roghair excuse piece) but in reality anything the APA puts out isn't worth my dog's SH!T!

SEE YOU IN THE FUNNY PAPERS IN 2020 DAVE!  HA HA HA HA!  (Oh, soon to be getting RICHER without paying tribute to your NEW UN"I"ON).

Pity and self-centered. We (PHX) are working on an update that addresses the recent East pay issue. You'll be surprised - you really shouldn't be, but you will be surprised.

See you in the van-down-by-the river. You bring the custom pine box for the CBA cards. Maroon.

Probability is 99% that Roghair and Wilson are on the company rewards program, in one way or another.  During negotiations "against" the company they trotted out the company swill, undermining any possibility of negotiating leverage (in the most insane of industry profits, that have only increased because of those two "union" pretenders), and now that the company has a sub-industry standard contract (good for another decade) now Wilson gets all yappy like a dog barking at shadows outside.

No bite.  None. Never.  Theater.  Just more theater.

Lucky for you, Ace that the "current AWA" management saved what was left of your miserable career. Awesome-sauce!
