Uhhhhh Jamie;
Uber-Blogger Ted Reed is referring to the e-communication that APA sent out to the
membership, and thus is intended for the
members in good standing only. It is not a letter.
You're the one that has chosen to opt out of membership (unless it was determined at application that you are a
SCAB).
Further, it sounds like from your brilliant missives that you will also choose to NOT PAY UNION DUES if approved by the US Courts (Funny how you choose to hang your hat on some court rulings, and not on others.).
If you choose to be a non-member and thence choose to not pay union dues, then you can read APA's updates on the cast-aside daily e-news in the gutter (web blogs) for all we members in good standing care.
Here's some free advice:
- Apply for membership and stay informed - Unless you are a SCAB, then disregard.
- Pay your dues. This works and is funded when we all participate and support each other.
- Volunteer for something that serves ALL American Airlines pilots (rather than participating in the "van-down-by-the-river" / new union tactics).
- Steel yourself for what the BOA serves up, and suck it up.
- Wake up on the right side of the bed and thank your lucky stars that you've had the GIFT of the past 10+ years of your career. Had the AWA/AAA merger not taken place, you would have had to jerk gear for someone that wasn't even born when you were "the highest paid airline pilots in the industry".
Or you can remain a non-member, stop paying dues (if legally allowed), hoard all your cash, finish your miserable career as you cry into your beer about how great US Air
was.
Carry on;
Dave
